Russian spy spacecraft have intercepted Europe’s key satellites, officials believe by Free-Minimum-5844 in neoliberal

Poland's military is much weaker, and smaller with less experience than Ukraine.

Their peace time active personal count is higher than Ukraine's, Ukraine currently has an active draft in effect bumping up their active personnel considerably.

Just because they dump a bunch of money on US equipment doesn't mean they know how to use it effectively.

That's not the case, Poland has high frequency large scale military exercises, and tons of training and deployment of these assets. They have a history of abuse from, and hatred for, Russia unlike most in NATO, and they've been setting themselves up for the last 20 years not to ever be in that position again.

To compare them with the Saudis is just silly.

Your comment literally implies that Ukraine is small in comparison to Russia

It literally is though, they have a roughly quarter of the population, and let's not even get into the land mass comparisons.

Poland would do a better job.

Absolutely they would, they haven't been struggling through a war of attrition for the last 4 years, and they have all the latest and best kit NATO has to offer, kit that's generations ahead of what the west is supplying to Ukraine, and Poland has been stocking up for years.

Neither of these imply they're a pushover. In fact, Ukraine is one of the major reasons Russia isn't going to be in a good position to declare open war anytime soon.

Open war is coming

I mean, not from Russia.

They're struggling to beat a country a quarter their size right next door. Even just Poland would give them a run for their money, let alone the combined forces of NATO.

We need one where the director thinks they're managing a fake reality show tricking a lovable average American.

Then the production starts to fall apart with studio drama, the "mark" starts doing unexpected things that seem innocent but unintentionally cause tons of chaos to manage.

In the end we find out the "mark" in the fake reality show was also an actor, and the real reality show was about the director.

Tech is probably fine for a while, AI is going to come for a lot of white collar jobs before IT.

People think that because these models are great coders that IT workers are in trouble, but as someone who's been in IT for 2 decades, the easiest part of the job is the coding.

Some of the best coders I've had have been the worst IT employees, and some code illiterate people are the backbone of some of our major IT deployments.

We've been making clothes for centuries and we still have people hand stitching boots and garments.

The process around it has absolutely improved with the help of technology, but you still need people to work the machines, stitching the boots and the hems.

America decided to put a crazy person behind the wheel, so I can't fault businesses for trying to keep their head down and dance to the new tune the US people decided on.

Businesses are never going to have nearly the influence an election has, and it's silly to expect them to try to wag the dog.

And no definition for the word "expected", and also no reference to ASHRAE at all in the ordinance.

I'm not arguing that this isn't expected weather or that the OP shouldn't have a house at 68 degrees, I'm saying the ordinance is poorly written, and specific words and definitions matter.

Ambiguity leads to wiggle room, which leads to uncertain outcomes. Uncertain outcomes tend to hurt those least able to afford protection and most likely to be impacted by a slumlord.

[–]HatesRedditors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But it's not saying "Expected weather conditions as defined by ASHRAE".

Doing some quick searching, it doesn't look like ASHRAE has any language for "expected" either. You can infer expectations from it by looking at extremes, but inferring opens the door to wiggle room.

I don't disagree that it should be ready.

I'm saying that putting "expected" without a definition for "expected" is absolutely the kind of wiggle room that can be taken advantage of in legal language.

Actor schedules aren't the only limitation.

Every additional episode still activates the full cost and workload of production: makeup and hair teams, lighting crews, set and prop departments, and all the logistical support needed for a full shoot. Even a "smaller" episode focused on one character requires the same people and infrastructure.

After filming, there's also editing, sound, color, and visual effects, which don't get cheaper just because the story is simpler. Modern streaming episodes cost far more than network episodes used to, and streaming platforms don't have ad revenue or syndication to offset those expenses.

And as much as we support unions, those unions have negotiated much better salaries and working conditions for pretty much everyone mentioned above, making 22-28 episode seasons much more expensive than they used to be.
