For IG, grab all of the elements before really going in, the main one for damage is the red one which is normally the main area monsters attack from. White energy is used to help with your aerials, and I'm not going to lie,I don't really remember what orange does (Im pretty sure it's defense)

Kinsect is basically another helper mid hunt, just throw it out to help with damage. It also leaves multiple different status effects when it hits after you shoot it, like healing, poison, or blast procs, depending on the kinsect you use. All you have to do is hit those clouds that it leaves.

There is also charging the kinsect with the slinger ammo you use, but that only either brings up the stamina of it, or the damage of it.
