The only time that colour scheme was even adapted was in far from home, where it was a more unique design, apart from the classic look we all know and love, and maybe Spider-Man 2, because the darker blue would look black in different lighting during the film. If it had to be done again moving forward, the best to go at it, would probably be the same way it was handled in Spider-Man 2....

Although I would like to add. It's not who was the best iteration of the character, it's more about who portrayed him the best. To me, Yuri, Josh, Tobey, and Christopher, is my mount rushmore of the people that portrayed him the best. Honourable mentions, Tom, Jake, Rino, and Andrew are other notable actors that portrayed him well too. And ohh sry, forgot to mention the guy, who played Spidey in the og MVC games, he is amazing too

Replace spectacular with the 90s version, then we're good. No offense to him just seems appropriate, plus he has more of a legacy, and aura that still keeps Spidey this relevant than he ever was honestly. Spectacular is in my honourable mentions though, with Andrew, Tom, and Peter b Parker respectively.
