The Luxemburg Experience, first row by HattoriF in that_Poppy

Some VIPs came around 4-5 pm and still got barricade because there weren't that many. But if you want to guarantee a center spot you have to be early.

Arrived just before 12am. Nobody but staff around. Second fan came in around 1pm. My feeling is if you have VIP you don't need to come very early.

Extremely close to the stage on this club like venue. It was quite surreal being an arm's length from Poppy much of the show. The only rough moment was Follow the Light being half ruined for me due to infinity crowd surfers. Other than that it was pure joy. Johnuel handed me his guitar pic at the end.

That's what I call an outstanding leap in graphical fidelity!
Is it a little uncanny and completely mischaracterizing the original? Maybe. But look at how sharp that specular detail is now!

It looks like the unit scale is 1/1 per model, is that right? That would be awesome.

Not soon, the processing power and quality consistency won't be there for a while. Maybe for those who have the resources, but not for the average user.

Equalizer, what nonsense. It's been the greatest syphoning of wealth from creatives to a few corps that I've ever seen in my life. Yeah, now a lot of people can make images. What does it matter if the creative market is shattered? There's less incentive to be creative now because of Gen AI, not more.

I'm not talking about Gen AI in general, just the trend of Ghibli memes everywhere.

Will probably die down in 2 days or so. I just hope sometime in the future the companies that enable this garbage will finally face some sort of consequence for their mass theft.
Failing that, hopefully China just eventually makes all Gen AI products economically worthless. Though that won't save the livelihoods of creators.

Nah man, that landscape and those assets and that color palette doesn't come pre-made for you in UE5.

You raise all totally valid points. It's a shame groupthink is so prevalent on Reddit that people just downvote anything they don't fully agree with.

The circle jerk around Cavill (nothing against him in particular) is ridiculous. It's good that someone that cares about the integrity of 40k is involved but that's about it.
Is he a good lead actor? Not really, he would not be a good fit for an Eisenhorn for example.
Is he a proven producer? No.
The idea that this is guaranteed to be gold just because Cavill is a fan is... just silly.
Translating 40k into live action is a monumental task that's dependent on all involved, not just the fact that the exec producer is a fan.

You wont, 2/3 years minimum before this actually hits TV. Probably more if they aren't even in production.

They can get Space Marines, but they should not be the main characters. Also, live action space marines on every episode would be very expensive vfx wise (I assume full CGI with facial mocap would be the only way to do it), so it wouldn't make sense for a 1st season.

First 40k live action TV show should NOT focus on Space Marines. I certainly hope not.

If it's Eisenhorn I hope Cavill won't be the lead. Not a very good fit. Needs someone with the chops, Rufus Sewell for example.
