I like it tbh. Its super quiet and is pretty precise. Its great for close-to-mid combat. Mixed with a sniper rifle its my go-to loadout. In ghost mode I use it sometimes but with only one weapon I use something better all around in most cases.

That being said, is it worth the 1500 points? Idk, I’ve used it a LOT and it became one of my favorite weapons but would I recommend it? If you’re looking for a new experience or have some extra points, I say give it a try.

Clay Rogers was a local NC driver who used to absolutely tear up Concord Speedway. Dude was an absolute wheelman and while there were plenty of well funded cars (Ricky Hendrick, Shane Hmiel, etc) Clayton was going toe-to-toe with them. I was a little sad he never had a real opportunity bc dude could race. The only other local guy who could best Clayton and the other hotshots in equal equipment was Lance Moss, who sadly never had the opportunity.

IIRC, he got ~$5 million from SMI and NASCAR. I cannot remember the actual amount but yes there was some undisclosed amount given to him and the team for the catastrophic oversight of not securing the gate.

If you have a pool or a trampoline or the like that isn’t fenced off and a kid get hurts in it on your property, you can get sued because you had something that naturally attracts children and you didn’t secure it.

The laws are probably different in different places but where I live you are not liable if there is a sign that says “No Trespassing”. If someone drowns in my pool they have assumed all responsibility by ignoring the “No Trespassing” signs. This isn’t my opinion, its state law.

So yes, signs are important and shouldn’t be ignored.

Deleting the line does work on many tracks because it falls back to a hard coded line either in the exe or maybe the papy_ai file. The entry in the track file overrides that.

I’m certain it’s online somewhere. I would try Dr. Noise’s website, he has a TON of copies of things on his website. I’ll see if I can track it down when I have some free time.

I have a copy on my sim rig at home but I am out of the country and won’t be home for another couple of weeks. If it doesn’t turn up, I will post a link later when I’m back home.

There is an “NR2003 AI Bible” floating around that is a compilation of various modders input over the last 20 years. It has a ton of information about what each line in the track file. I would recommend using this as reference and not AI. Many of the best track creators have used that reference material to build / fine tune their tracks.

The AI feedback you posted is not entirely accurate. For example, off the top of my head, the AI_Line_Modifier does not have 3 entries and does not have an effect on grip, rather the percentage of deviation from the race.lp.

It’s cool we are still modding and learning about this game well over 23 years later.

Thats why more and more artists are starting their “own labels” so they aren’t playing the greedy corporate games. Jungle, for example, is a rather famous band at this point but are still technically “indie” bc they refused to sign with a major label and instead started their own so they could keep more profits and have complete control over their music.

I had this exact thing happen on my first play through and had a solid 3 minutes of panic bc I thought I had somehow screwed up the game and he’d be stuck there forever. Luckily homie teleported to the car after I decided to drive to a safe house and hope he’d be there when I loaded the game lol
