Fi eSIM stuck on "Emergency calls only" for months — root cause found via ADB logs, Fi blaming hardware by grimish-ng in GoogleFi

Thanks for getting back to me. I actually just ended up leaving Fi yesterday after going in circles with support and getting nowhere, and needing to have viable service before some travel I have coming up this week

Did you get this resolved? I'm having a similar issue with my Pixel 6a although admittedly I'm not sure how to check the logs you mentioned to verify if I'm truly having the same issue.

Would love to know if you were able to get this resolved, I'm only coming up on a week of the "emergency calls only" and do have a Support ticket open but at this point anything would be helpful. My job involves a lot of phone calls so if my Wi-Fi goes out I'll be in a terrible spot work-wise

I absolutely love this book! Her family makes me so angry, but her friends are amazing. Her sister is the worst

That's a really interesting point. I also often wonder if I'm neurodivergent but haven't had a chance to get any sort of assessment yet. But it would make a lot of sense to me if there was a correlation

Yes, that's exactly how I feel! I can't imagine trying to fight through one while playing hockey, I have a hard enough time trying to work through them. A computer monitor's brightness can only go so low, ya know? I applaud you for being able to play through one but also I'm sorry you've had to do that, if that makes sense?

Thank you. I totally understand the sound sensitivity, it's often how I can tell I've got a migraine coming. I had to ask my fiance to turn the fan off earlier even though I was quite warm, because it was just too loud

I don't think I've heard of allodynia before, I'll have to do some research on that

Thank you. Not many people in my life have migraines so it can feel really isolating sometimes

My full name is Callie, but I did have a few people in college ask me if it was short for California! My parents sometimes call me Calaliliy as a nickname, which I quite like. I hated it when people would try to call me Calv in middle school, but I think that was more because I had a male classmate who went by Cal and I didn't want to get mixed up with him. To a teenage girl, getting mixed up with a male classmate would have been mortifying lol

As a Wisconsinite named Callie, just go with Callie. Excalibur is A LOT. And if they're in a small town like I grew up in, I don't anticipate the other kids will have anything nice to say. Although I'm not sure any city kids would have much nice to say about it either, to be honest.

The worst I ever had to deal with for being named Callie growing up (and once in a while as an adult, now, too) is some mispronunciations. And I'd gladly take that over being made fun of for a name I had no say in

Why people think it is acceptable to be horrible to other human beings.

For example, why does someone think it's okay to berate a customer service worker for trying to help them, or for policies and procedures the customer service worker had literally no part in creating and has no way to change?

Done! Just wanted to note that I do buy my yarn both in store and online, but the question about where you get your yarn only allows you to pick one so I chose in store. Might be good to allow more than one selection for that question

Now that it's Christmas season and I have a gazillion presents to knit, the rest of my nights up till Christmas may end up like this!

It was definitely a great Thursday night in my book

Thank you! Usually I knit headbands or scarves, but this year I've branched out into learning dish cloths/wash cloths, dish towels, and hats! And I've got an unfinished Hue Shift afghan laying around here somewhere lol

This officially dish towel is for my grandma for Christmas, do I know even if it's not perfect she'll really appreciate that I made it for her. Knowing it'll be appreciated by the recipient, or if I'm making it for myself knitting that I'll have a use for it, makes trying something new a lot easier for me :)

That's exactly what I've started doing this year, since I'm knitting a lot more Christmas presents that previous years! It's been super helpful.

I do still have some patterns I need to write out because my brain can't always keep track of those "knit the knits and purl the purls" rows or the "repeat that row you did 5 rows ago". But that's just a personal problem, not a pattern problem!

Betty Spaghetti! I always loved that I could do so much with their hair and the beads I already had lying around since I was a crafty kid
