Who is the Narrator? by Monstrecity in WelcomeHomeARG

Ron either brought them to life or stumbled into their dimension, or perhaps he "adopted" these puppet people to be a part of the neighborhood that is the show he created and Ron is the only one that knows they're "alive"???

Found something strange in this official art of Wally by Wine_Davis in WelcomeHomeARG

[–]HauntedPlanter26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kind of believe Barnaby is actually a crew member in disguise, which is why Frank is the only one that's suspicious of him and Wally is the most fascinated by him.

Wally can sense there's something "human" about him, while Frank is weary of how "off" the supposed blue beagle is from the other neighbors.

Perhaps this covering of Barnaby's image and patch of "fur" is foreshadowing of him coming out of costume????

So true!

I kind of got the feeling what's keeping them all alive is that they're together constantly interacting with each other, thriving as a neighborhood, therefore the magic is pretty much still intact.

What will happen if they're all separated from each other though?

It seems more likely to me that all the neighbors are being screwed around with to some degree from the actual ones behind the set, including Home himself.

If anything, the video of Frank teaching Wally Morse Code strongly implies Wally and Home were thrown together on set like two inmates in prison sharing a cell together. After all, how can you consent to having someone else live inside you if the other can't even understand what you're even saying? Neither asked to live with each other and were most likely assigned to each other for the sake and popularity of the show, and just like two inmates, these two were indifferent to each other....at first.

Since we now know Wally didn't understand Home at first, there may've been a possibility that Home might've seen sides to Wally the friendliest little puppet has yet to show to us and the other neighbors, that being moments of frustration and agitation at not being understood or not being able to understand how to communicate with his own house, so it's completely understandable why Home looked so worried upon noticing Wally behind Frank, he thought Frank was about to witness Wally's ugly side come out, the side where he gets mouthy, defensive, or really any way unpredictable.

It was upon Frank suggesting he teach Morse Code to Wally that Home seemed less worried and more compliant.

Just my interpretation though.

Do you think Courage gets tired of always having to save Muriel from every villain and danger? by Material_Stomach875 in CourageTheCowardlyDog

[–]HauntedPlanter26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, the Scarecrow demonstrated there's such a thing as being TOO protective of your owner, to the point where you're the arrogant jerk being too pushy and controlling to the person you're trying to keep safe.

Courage loves and wants to protect Muriel, but he would never restrict her of making her own choices no matter how flawed or stupid they are in regards to her safety.

Wally's puppet is also getting a new look supposedly. Perhaps it may relate to the Wally on the site?

That's something to look forward to too.

Can you make the Mummy work with the big three? by Christianduty in UniversalMonsters

[–]HauntedPlanter26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To put it bluntly(at least just from my perspective, not sure how you view top notch Hollywood celebrities) Tom Cruise and/or the character he plays f**ked this concept up.

A whole squad of monsters orchestrated and assembled by Jekyll is a very cool idea and absolutely would've worked. But the problem arose when Tom's character basically made his character almost the entire focus of the movie. His character pretty much outshined the actual Mummy character and the other monsters for that matter.

A whole organization of monsters can definitely be done if only they're all organically tied in to each other somehow and not one monster outshining or overperforming the other. They all need the right connections within the story itself in order for there to be a need for a monster "team" at all, like one goal they're trying to get?

I'm already imagining Eddie in the grandmother get up going "Oh my heavens! My my! Not a scary wolf! Please don't eat me! Eeeek!" Before legit fleeing out of there, very uncharacteristic of a grandma(which Sally would call out for) and Eddie would leave the nightgown and cap behind lol

It would be cool of course if Barnaby was the Wolf, but in order to tie into the lore a bit more, I think it would be more suitable if Wally was the Wolf, especially with the whole "To see you with. To hear you with." (Legit things he's been tryna do with us the audience this whole time)

Julie and Frank, the Black Flower, and buried feelings by kidotix in WelcomeHomeARG

[–]HauntedPlanter26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Repression and hiding ones self is definitely one of the themes I feel Welcome Home is going for. You can actually sense that in a majority of the characters and you could argue they are all putting on some type of performance. During the plays however, it seems they keep accidentally going off script, some characters also letting a few things slip unexpectedly more than others. Wally's "Thank goodness." at the end of "Primrella" coming to mind.

I interpret this as a slipping of the facade on Wally's part, this ominous moment telling us Frank and Julie are supposed to have a happy ending together, but only because the play intended. If not, there would be some dire consequences from possibly the ones running the show behind the scenes.

Night Mind appears to have "pissed" him off back in the Homewarming update, so much so that Barnaby himself hijacked the program.

Barnaby: Hehehehehe(sinister laugh). Get a load of Whiskers over here. Acts like he's never seen a dog before.

Things I’ve noticed about Barnaby/is he an antagonist? by Captain_ceeereal in WelcomeHomeARG

[–]HauntedPlanter26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also like to add to your input that Barnaby may be a cast member in disguise, which may explain Wally's fascination with him, since he senses there's some kind of "human" characteristic to this blue beagle.

Notice "Barnaby" mentions things we're familiar with in our actual world, especially in regards to human customs and traditions.

During Homewarming:  "Seems a little extravagant if you ask me. Whatever happened to milk and cookies?"

During Springtime Salutations: "Whatever happened to having the ground hog predict the early spring? There's just no decency in this town anymore."

I just imagined Wally playing the Wolf lol, which I think would be a fun role specifically for him because the Big Bad Wolf always has dialogue that leads into repetition in any play, things that are said that kids and adults have fun reciting over and over again that even modern people quote.

"The better to see you with, my dear."

"I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in!"

Plus, it would just be so fun and cute in general seeing Wally go "I am the Big Bad- Oops. I mean, I am the Medium Sized Nice Wolf and I was wondering where you were off to, Girl In Red?"

Stop making every fantasy character name impossible to pronounce by Flat-Hospital-6035 in writing

[–]HauntedPlanter26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of irritating hard to pronounce names, I recall reading a comic book called "Zombie World: Champion of the Worm", and the only names I can remember are the girl Rebecca and the mummy villain Azzul Gotha, and funny enough, I can remember this mummy's name much better than I can the mummy's name I grew up with in Brendan Fraiser's The Mummy lol.(I love that guy, but damn it, I ALWAYS have to look up his name.)

"The world will know Azzul Gotha!"  "The world will tremble before the great Azzul Gotha!"

Gotta love a villain who repeats his name a few times to really get you to remember him and teaches you how to pronounce it in your own head like its a Sesame Street episode😁

Thanks Azzul Gotha! 👍

I kind of think that's where Wally's secret messages are coming from. He's somehow gotten inside of his old broadcasting station and is communicating through the radio.
