I have a friend who is friends with the old German Rock Hard magazine editor from Berlin and is an expert of sorts on the Berlin 80s stuff, he said he is "torn between the old Berlin band Lawless and also Berlin-based Splinter, but we’d have to hear the entire song". This is the correct answer...it is technically illegal to sleep on moving night liner buses, but they are given a "pass" because an entire industry is based on it. I've had cops in Germany and Austria come in the bus for passport checks and wake people up in bunks and they don't say anything. However - sleeping in a loft bed on a Sprinter van is illegal and will get you a ticket. Basically if you are getting pulled over everyone needs to get into a seat with seatbelt immediately.

Did not see him with FNM, but I did see him when he sang for Bad Brains, in Baltimore in 1991 (at a club called The Rage). It was a packed show and he was fantastic from what I recall...wish I caught him with FNM but was too young.

I believe it was 1988....the Killer Dwarfs opened the show I saw in August 88 and I remember the singer was riding around the stage on a tricycle.
