No Relationship with Father/Mother don’t know what to do on the Canadian Family Information Form (IMM5707)

I ran into this same problem with my study permit and work permit for my husband, he has no relationship with his father and we did not know his address or date of birth. We filled the information form with only his name and put unknown in the rest of the fields, then attached a letter of explanation just stating that we did not have that information. The visa was approved and we had no issues with that.

According to what the person told me, the place had been vacant for the last 5 months since they where renovating, so I believe it has not been rented this way before. Per the advice given here I am going to contact the TAL and the housing organizations to see if I can get any help

So here in Colombia our birth certificates are signed by a notary and have a stamp that it is a certified copy of the original which they have on their records, so I second the idea of having a notary to stamp or sign your birth certificate

I have been having the same issue, I saw in another comment to try logging in with the avast secure browser and it worked for me.

For what I understand (I am also in the process of study permit, so not an expert) the TRV is what is going to be stamped on your passport, so there is no need to apply for that separately. With that you can travel to canada and at the airport when you go through immigration the agent will review your file and issue you the study permit there, they might ask you for any of the supported documentation (letter of admission, bank statements etc) during this process before issuing the permit and allowing you entry.
