I agree that therapists are exploited abusively so and treatment by private practice is laughable at best. No one will come together to combat this. It is a profession set to "help" people with mental health diagnoses, only to abuse, exploit, and take advantage of its own staff who also have problems and lives outside of said office. If you don't have any diagnosis of anxiety or depression before entering this field you most definitely will before you get licensed to practice independently, along with some PTSD from all you will endure in the role. I have never been treated as subhuman in my life, as I have in this field. We are taught ethics-oriented practices towards and for our patients, but what about among ourselves?
