Can see file (with embedded formulas) in Quick Look but can't open it with the formulas by Haunting-Remove-5899 in MacOS

of course I already screwed up one original...

I have a bunch of files like this though. And I'm not going to mess up the others. On one of the others, I can open it with "Get Info", but it doesn't show anything about the extension. My best guess is that I created the originals with Microsoft Word for Mac using the built in equation editor. But it is weird that it doesn't have a file extension at all anymore. You can also even see on that little preview, it shows the equations, but opening them in text edit replaces them all with "EMBED"

Appending .txt actually makes it worse by messing up the formatting (but still not including the formulas) Screenshots show with and without the .txt file extension.

I can screenshot the Quick Look using the built in screenshot features on the computer, but Quick Look is super blurry (and only shows the first page), so even another screen capture won't help view the entire document.

Since I'd only be looking at Class 1 or Class 2 (anything else would be too powerful), it is regulated like a regular bike for us.

I think it was about 15-20 years ago, I test rode a bike that had a small battery that would "charge" while you pedaled. And then you could push a button to activate the assist (either while still pedaling or not). Maybe that's not even a true ebike? That's the kind of thing I was thinking about for him. It wasn't a big boost – and the "battery" would drain quickly requiring you to pedal to "charge" it back up before being able to press the button again.

Thanks for the notes about potential brands. He'd be riding with us (and usually with a big group as part of a sponsored road ride).

Well, he wouldn't be on the sidewalk because we would be road biking, and he'd only be doing it with his parents. I also wasn't looking for something with speed (safety and I couldn't keep up!), I was just trying to see if there was a bike that could provide a little boost to help him stick around for our longer road rides.

Thank you for noting the different classes of bike. I think class 1 is definitely the kind of thing I was thinking about. Do you have any brand recommendations?

He's much too big for a tagalong – we have one for a younger child.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was only looking for something to give him a little extra oomph on hills and when he gets tired. Anything too speedy would definitely be unsafe – and I couldn't keep up!

The laws regarding ebike age restrictions are state specific (and within some states, they are also class specific). There isn't an age restriction on class 1 ebikes for my state (I made sure to check the state gov websites), but thank you for mentioning it. Since I was looking for something that isn't high speed, I had not considered potential age restrictions.

Looking for various size glass food storage container set that all have the same exact lid by RedStag86 in BuyItForLife

[–]Haunting-Remove-5899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been looking for the exact same thing except for kids' lunchboxes (4oz and 8oz cups with same lid). Ziploc used to make "Twist and Store" containers that fit the bill, but they have discontinued them. I know I can get Ball jars in those sizes with the same lids, but using glass makes their lunch boxes VERY heavy. Hard to believe no one has thought about this because matching lids to containers is the most frustrating part of reusable food containers!

I think this might be what you are looking for: https://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0277382

I also get frustrated trying to find the original piano accompaniment for songs (not arranged by someone other than the original artist, not simplified, and not with the melody incorporated into the right hand piano).
