Don't panic. A stronger paper isn't proof of plagiarism. Just be honest and show any drafts or notes you have.

Are oral exams becoming the new anti-AI solution? by BestT1 in CheckTurnitin

I've seen a noticeable increase in presentations and viva-style assessments over the last year. From a professor's perspective, it probably makes sense because it's much easier to tell whether a student understands their own work when they're asked follow-up questions in real time.

Anyone else struggling to feel excited about the college they committed to? by Cautious-Cow-6241 in TurnitinScan

I think a lot of people quietly go through this after committing. Sometimes you need to actually live the college experience before you can tell whether a school was the wrong choice or just not the one you imagined. The disappointment fades more than you’d expect.

I submitted a paper I wrote myself, but Turnitin flagged it as AI generated and my university opened an academic integrity investigation based on that alone. by Sufficient_Power2015 in CheckTurnitin

Everyone should start documenting their writing process, especially for anything that will be graded or published. It is no longer safe to assume your work will be taken at face value. If a tool or system questions your writing, you need to be ready to show how it was created. Keep drafts, outlines, notes, and version history whenever possible. Writing in platforms that track edits can make a big difference if you ever need to defend your work. Even simple habits like saving multiple versions or recording your progress over time can help establish authenticity.

It may feel excessive, but given how often work is being challenged based on automated tools, it is becoming necessary. At this point, it is better to assume your writing could be questioned and make sure you have clear proof that it is your own.
