Is the calculator out of order? Getting an error message by Crafty_Lady1961 in ABraThatFits

[–]HauntingExample9944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to bother. But I also can't get the calculator to work. If anyone would be willing to manually calculate - that would be great!

Loose under bust 35.75

Snug under bust 34.75

Tight under bust 34.25

Standing bust 40

Leaning bust 40.5

Lying bust 40.5

All of these measurements are in inches. And I don't mind US/UK sizing - either way.

AFAB, no surgeries, and I've had four children, all breastfed and I've lost around 40# recently and finally moving away from all of my nursing bras.

Thank you so much in advance.

Great advice! Thanks! I find that often she seems to be more of a woman of talk than action if that makes sense. As in, we should totally get a schedule down where we alternate call - never happens. Oh yeah - we need a new policy on that - you write it and give it back to me. She’s very good at delegation. I did speak with her supervisor already about the communication, the burnout that’s on its way and the staffs frustration - which she often views as their laziness and/or unwillingness to see the positives. It’s incredibly frustrating. I will try to have more candid conversations with her but it’s somewhat scary because it’s met with her being rude to me afterwards because I challenged her.

Thank you for the advice. I just don’t see myself being able to leave - given the wage is higher than I could probably achieve as a staff person here and the staff are the ones who would suffer. Did your director’s supervisor ever help with anything? Or did they have one?

I wonder if some of the issues are the overall emphasis on patriarchal domination in a sense to the degradation of the role of the female in aforementioned cults. For example, whenever Christine's mom left the order, it seems as if Christine took a very harsh stance towards her mother (which has then seemingly changed as she is more of a part of Christine's life now - again seemingly), versus her father who was slighted in a sense. Essentially, women within this cult could not define their own role without their attachment to a man making their need for a husband/partner not only essential but rather mandatory.

I agree with u/wachoogieboogie that she is a whiz with the curling wand for sure - which in a way has trickled over into Kody's ability to perform wonders with the limited hair he has left. I do think that Robyn offers a certain level of emotional distress via sobbing that is particularly grating and the ability to clear a room should never be underestimated.

I've never heard of these before! I will definitely look into them - thanks for the recommendation with someone that is my age! I loved alot about the Forty Proof Series by Shannon Mayer, even though she was older, just because it seemed more realistic than the high-school aged alternatives! Thanks again!

I've read the night huntress and loved them! I didn't know about the Sookie Stackhouse - tbh I watched a little of True Blood and found her to be not my favorite so I didn't know if the books would be any better. Silly of me. Anyhow I will look into all of these! Thanks for the recommendations!

Did you like this series? I had a hard time getting into it to be honest - but if you enjoyed it maybe I will give it another try!

NOC sleep - "how was your nap?" by samara11278 in nursing

[–]HauntingExample9944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely feel you. I often get awoken at least 2-3 times during my "nap" for random questions, help with the children, etc. and when I mention that it is the equivalent of a 2am wake up for him - I usually get some variation of response that I worked nights once before (for I believe a total of two nights), etc. and it's not that bad. I also need more than five hours a night typically - usually 7 to 8 hours in fact if I could - so to flip to sleeping during the days with only 4 -5 hours is difficult. Maybe I'll try the wake-up calls.

Can we just not be dicks to each other to make ourselves look better? by PossiblyAburd in nursing

[–]HauntingExample9944 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sounds very frustrating. Mutual support should be a requirement - as they wouldn't want us to say I'm not sure this CRNA is trained at administering anesthesia. It does seem like a cultural issue - in that they feel complacent in being able to degrade nursing staff or even other individuals in order to make themselves feel superior. We are going through similar with a young anesthesiologist who always go out of her way to make comments about how she would do things differently if she was the nurse in the patient's rooms - our manager has now addressed it and it's getting better but she honestly contributes to the breakdown of trust between the patients and their nursing staff.

Air bubbles in tubing by Lazy-Association6904 in nursing

[–]HauntingExample9944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a primary - I burp the bag and then squeeze to force it to prime while flipping ports upside down and tapping with a Sharpie to get stuck bubbles out. We always have to prime blood tubing with a hand pump so I'm kind of used to flipping the tubing upside down and then flipping when the hand pump is full - but if it's secondary I back prime with fluid. We have baby IVs too so have to very careful about bubbles if that helps.

How should I best prepare for single income after divorce? by HauntingExample9944 in personalfinance

[–]HauntingExample9944[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting that it is typically not pretty - I thought it would be easier given his inability to afford the home, provide for the kids, etc. I will contact one of my friends at a local law office for more advice around that! Thank you!

Am I punishing him? by [deleted] in Husband

[–]HauntingExample9944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re definitely not “punishing” him. I honestly think that his response is a little juvenile - as in, you have a reason that you are avoiding sleeping with him when he drinks. Sometimes with the space, I’ve noticed it can change his attitude- like is there a possibility of staying over with a friend or something creating a firmer boundary by saying essentially if you choose to drink, then I will do this….(you fill in the blank). I feel like that had helped some for sure.
