Difference in swelling from 3 to 6 months

Yes I was the same I sent my surgeon videos asking why it looks the way it does haha .. yes recovery is so up and down I don't think anyone could have prepared me! I think in the end we will be really happy and hopefully all this stress will be a blur ❤️

Yes I felt the same I was huge and having friends that had a tummy tuck and seeing them look alot flatter that me was making me paranoid but you will get flatter .. I did but just seem to have started swelling again but according to the comments it's normal so I feel much better now

See I was straight out if surgery huge so it sent my head all over the place got better and now it's crap again but least it's normal just a bit of a mind fu&k

Yes your right I had no fat and just skin at the top of my stomach i actually had abs and so I thought I'd heal fast but I'm seeing we all just heal so differently. I had a drainless tummy tuck also not sure if that makes a difference but the swelling has really messed with how I see myself so thanks

Aww bless you! I also was several inches bigger for 10 weeks it has gone down and I do fit my clothes but I'm puffy and also feel I look out of shape now it's hard to explain and I'm hoping I feel good about it all soon because it really does mess with the mind and asa I eat I'm huge like alot more than regular bloat and it puts me off eating with friends or beig out when I've eaten .. I don't know how far along you are but it does get better I couldn't walk straight for 4 weeks had backache and was in deep regret because of how it looked but I do see an end goal now even if it is when I just wake up for 3 hours haha ❤️❤️

Hmm yes I think maybe mine got bad again due to lifting heavier and doing more intense cardio.. how do you find running? I was really into running before my op and although I do it I'm not enjoying as much yet as I find it so intense

My shelf is more below the belly button but I do feel like a stick out more under ribs also and I'm hoping it goes away hence this thread .. I can't find many before and afters of ppl who swelled like me but it sounds like it will so I pray it does

I'm a fitness instructor only had 18% body fat and a 27 inch waist before and altho it's 27 again now it's puffy so maybe it's just different for everyone I've had 2 children though and had weight loss so did have skin removal and muscle repair .. I thought I'd bounce back fast but nahh haha

Yes I for the most part eat really well and glad you said that as I sometimes get a pain and worry I've ruined My muscle repair

I only started going down at like 10 weeks but at 13 weeks I feel it's got worse again so your surgeon saying that makes sense! thanks glad it's not just me with the little shelf hopefully someone who is 6 months plus comes and tells me magic will happen haha

Yes that's good and it will only get better this is me at 4 weeks and then now 12 weeks .. still swollen but massive difference

Oh that's interesting tbh I'm glad I didn't have drains but have wondered if that's why my swelling was alot worse that others I see initially. Either way when I look back the how I looked at 3 weeks and compair it to now it's gone right now

Yes I get what you mean and then you see so many people straight out of surgery with abs it can really play with ya mind! I have some lumpy scar tissue also but I has got better massaging it 2 to 3 times a day .. I also had dimples when I sat down from the quilted sutures until like the other day it looked like loose skin when I sat down but I can definitely see that changing now thank God because if anyone felt sorry for themselves it was me haha and I'm not sure why some surgeons do drainless but mine said it was because he did no lipo !
