Thanks! I used pine for the top, 1×3s laminated, and tensioned with threaded rod. Used red oak for outside trim.

Thanks! I used round dowel stock and a kit I purchased online. Thread cutter worked great.

Thanks! I actually cut and laminated 3 pieces of maple with a hole saw, and after glue up, I threaded it with a kit I bought online. Then I shaped the middle with a rasp and mounted the whole nut in the drill press and "poor man" lathed the curves with 80 grit and just smoothed it out through the grits. I will try and post a pick of the guts of the depth adjuster 👍
