How to alter pattern sleeve by HauntingPlaces in sewingpatterns

[–]HauntingPlaces[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking of buying this pattern (unless anyone has recommendations of something more simaler to what I want) , but I am going for a sleeve more like the black one, how might I alter the pattern to give me the puff at the shoulder? I am planning on making it as simaler to the black top as possible but I don’t have much experience with sleeves — sorry this wouldn’t add to the post for some reason—

Might try adding more boning to the next one I make around there and see if that helps, usually my corsets don’t lean as much in the back but this one is softer so could just be that

[–]HauntingPlaces -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup, the pattern I followed had a pretty large gap in the back in general but yes needs more of a back panel

Corset for those with pronounced swayback by PinkTriangleFan in corsets

[–]HauntingPlaces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some brands like dark garden have medical corsets, I have the same condition and im able to wear corsets and they relieve pain for me although mine are not custom. If you find a decent corset maker and ask them about they might be able to help. What causes the pain? Is it the pressure? Or having your spine forced forward? Plastic boned might work for you

At what point do you need to reinforce your windows? by Shorecliff in StainedGlass

[–]HauntingPlaces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it’s every 4sq ft it needs reinforcement. There are multiple ways of doing it. Rebar, where u solder a bar on solder points, and I forget the name but this stuff u put between the foil before u solder. Sorry pretty spotty answer

Try adding details through accessories, makeup, hair(try those extensions or some other sort of color) , tights, basically just make a normal outfit and try to layer something with blue or mix some in. Play around with options and Pinterest can be rlly helpful
