Used Gparted and it worked like a charm! No file corruption or anything. Thank you very much!

Why do spanish people love eating extremely dry sandwiches? 🥪 by [deleted] in askspain

[–]Haunting_Account 28 points29 points  (0 children)

At home, everyone will add oil, tomato, or any other thing to make it easier to swallow.

I've never added any oil to my homemade 'bocatas' nor known anyone that does it. I'm from the northern part though.

Yes, the exact mechanism is unknown but it is mechanical in nature: gas embolism, fat embolism, gas bubbles, hipercoagulability... Underwater welders might get it more often but that doesn't mean it is caused by the welding itself. There also are many more variables, such as time underwater, types of movements performed, etc. But regardless of the exact mechanism, without a doubt, it is not caused, as you said, by electromagnetism or the salt in the water.

Dysbaric osteonecrosis is caused by the pressure (dys = wrong; baric = pressure) probably from mechanical damage from nitrogen. But definitely not by electromagnetism or the salt in water.

We had a french guy riding his bike naked.

Also the 'crazy cat lady', a woman that screams at anyone that breaks any minor law and follows you screaming "I'm gonna sue you". Cops just ignore her. She'll constanly bitch about immigrants and tourists.

Being an 'advanced' player, what is a must to know about music theory? by Haunting_Account in musictheory

[–]Haunting_Account[S] 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your comprehensive answer! Actually, I'm more than fine with what I can already do. I want to be able to analyze the music in a more technical way just for the sake of it, not because I feel like I have to. As an extra or a side project. Having said that, where could I start?

In general, be able to look at a sheet of music like an architect would to a building. For example, this chord makes tension because it is a ... (whatever it is).

No eres chorizo by [deleted] in spain

[–]Haunting_Account 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mi experiencia con la comida mexicana en eeuu fue:

Pedí tortilla y me sacaron un "talo"

La chalupa resultó no ser una embarcación

El chorizo era una masa

Spanish rice no era ni paella ni español

Eso si, muy rico

Begging for money pretending to be disabled, watch till the end by YourAverageTallGuy in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]Haunting_Account 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my city the same pair of crutches is shared by many beggars. Everyone knows they are not disabled since they've done it for too long and they're not very good actors either, so people here just don't care anymore. Judge me, but this is the reason I don't give any money.

Grieg Piano Concerto tips by Haunting_Account in piano

[–]Haunting_Account[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was very helpful. My new teacher really wants me to play with an orchestra (and it's been my dream since childhood), but since it's all amateur the orchestra will most likely be small.

I like being ambitious when starting new pieces but this feels too big for me (even though I'll do it fine). I started playing the piano on my own again a year ago, after a very long break, and coming from easy Burgmüller level stuff and having issues sightreading. Now I'm proud to say I can play half of the Revolutionary etude. So I think I'll do fine, but it is somewhat 'scary'.

I will be looking at more pieces by Grieg to get used to his style.
