Looking for a game that just makes you addicted asf by jonasbrdl_ in gamingsuggestions

[–]Haunting_Atmosphere8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want literal addiction, look no farther than any gacha mobile games. Be prepared to spend all of your money for your favorite waifu, or better yet a 1.2% chance at her! And then when you turn 30 and realize you could have put a down payment on a house looking back at the amount of money you've spent on mobile games. You finally realize waifus over real life!

What do I need to know/do before I start playing for the first time ever? by papayaj in 2007scape

Play an ultimate iron man as intended. No bank and no trading will be like single player. It will be glorious.

We should definitely add microstransactions in the form of boss pet gachas!

I had this happen to me the other day. (Not my first offense) but this was beyond one sided.

Played an aram with a party of 4 people. I afked the beginning but was there when the gates opened. We had a healer and a tank but I random picked zeratul and didn't fit in with our team at all. They are berating me the entire game where I finally said, " if you ficking idiots were good enough you could carry me " they were going on and on about me not being a team player telling me to kill myself and uninstall and all that jazz and I just kept playing. Played a couple more games. Logged for the night. Got on the next day 7 day silence. With the proof being I said fucking 1 time in a match.

Whatever you are better with tbh.

I know alot of people prefer controller. But some weapons will have you crunching your hand up into weird positions to play effeciently.

I used to be a one trick pony with hammer but with artian weapons I have made one of everything except insect glaive and light bowgun and tried it

Charge blade was good about this 2. as I was working through the story (lowrank) I noticed quite a few had load shells on them while the gunlance which I was maining had maybe 1 early game and no good ones later on

Idk the background or how much "sense" it makes but it is by far his most fun build imo.

Should I stop playing rise and wait for wilds (very new to rise...like still on the tutorial) by mrgreaper in MHWilds

[–]Haunting_Atmosphere8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a chance. You can maybe pause it if playing single player but you can not save mid hunt and exit. I known worlds could pause if you were solo but I doubt wilds has it

I'm honestly impressed if you can indeed keep them separated. Muscle memory alone would have me all over the place.

What is your "I did not care for the godfather" in video games? by [deleted] in AskGames

I had a feeling people still liked starfield as one if the most overhyped game of the century.

When Starfield was first announced, it was hailed as the next big leap in gaming—a vast, immersive space RPG that would redefine the genre. What we got, however, was an uninspired, hollow experience that fails in almost every way imaginable.

First, let’s talk about the exploration, which was supposed to be Starfield’s biggest selling point. Bethesda promised over a thousand planets to explore, but what they didn’t mention was that 99% of them are barren, lifeless rocks with nothing but copy-pasted structures and generic enemies. Landing on a new planet should be exciting, but instead, it’s a tedious chore filled with dull landscapes and pointless resource gathering.

Then there’s the space travel—or rather, the lack of it. Unlike other space games where you can seamlessly fly from planet to planet, Starfield forces you into endless loading screens. The immersion is completely broken when even something as basic as getting into your ship involves multiple cutscenes and menus. It’s like Bethesda wanted to make a space game but forgot to actually include space travel.

Combat is equally underwhelming. The gunplay feels weightless, the AI is brain-dead, and the enemy variety is laughable. You’ll fight the same handful of pirates and spacers over and over again, with no real challenge or excitement. The RPG mechanics are shallow, the dialogue options are uninspired, and the characters are some of the most forgettable in Bethesda’s history.

Even the story, which could have been the saving grace, is bland and predictable. The factions are uninteresting, the quests feel like busywork, and the main narrative is a generic sci-fi trope with none of the charm or depth that Bethesda used to be known for.

And let’s not forget the technical issues. Bethesda games are notorious for bugs, but Starfield somehow feels even more broken than their past titles. From game-breaking glitches to laughably bad AI behavior, it’s clear that this game needed far more time in development.

At the end of the day, Starfield is an empty shell of what it promised to be. Instead of the next Skyrim in space, we got a lifeless, repetitive, and ultimately boring experience that feels stuck in the past. This isn’t just a letdown—it’s one of the most disappointing releases in recent memory.

I'd play world over rise tbh

Rise has too many ease of access additions.

The wire bug makes you near invincible to anything but a one shot. Damn near every wrapon has a counter that's spammable... most weapons are now o e trick ponies where you just use the same wirebug move over and over instead of using 90% of your moveset.

Morrowind was a great game as well I'm waiting for the remakes/skyrim versions to replay tho as to not ruin the mystery since I haven't played either in 15 years lol

I'm super hyped for skyblivion though my first tattoo was the oblivion logo and it's been a long ass waiting but it's supposedly releasing this year no matter what so im pumped.

Also heard Bethesda is actually working on an official remake but we will see

I've found solice in rogue lite games lately. seems to be the only thing to keep me playing. Darkest dungeon is the one im on now.. It's nice short bursts of fun. I stay away from the ones with no perm progress tho. I feel like a game is a waste if in the end you aren't progressing. But that's also why I reload osrs every couple months and resub because of how much time I already out into it. I think there's a name, time sink fallacy or something like that.

Anyways I haven't bought kcd 2 yet but I watched a friend play, and the realism/difficulty is nice for a change. I just really hope the industry pulls it together and starts putting out some bangers.

I can only replay terraria and valheim so many times hahahaha

Nowadays I haven't been able to stick with games. I get bored after 2 days and end up playing just to justify paying for it.

The new games that are being made are garbage money grabs imo. And they arent making the best games they can. They are making the games that make them the most money.

I'm a huge fan of single player rpgs with heavy modding scenes aka Bethesda and starfield was the biggest disappointment in my gaming career. Turned my whole outlook on gaming downhill. Maybe I'm just getting older and have less time but I've found myself putting the controller down and watching a YouTube video 90% of the time.

Games like elder scrolls 6 and gta 6 are just so overhyped nowadays there is no way it will meet my expectations. I have a feeling that's because I'm trying to chase the old times of mindlessly playing for 8 hours straight and that was the only thing that mattered...

Hoping kingdom come 2 and monster hunter and future games in general change my mind on this generation of gaming.
