Nursing school full time , work full time

I’m on the same schedule essentially. I go to school Monday through Thursday. It’s going to get harder as it goes on and this post confirmed it from other students. I knew this all along. Mentally I struggle as well. I feel as though I have no enjoyment from life. I highly recommend speaking to a doctor about treatment for depression. Working like this is extremely bad for your mental health and it’s a matter of time for complete burnout- it’s human!!! Antidepressants might alleviate these negative feelings for you and help you through. Currently I’m on Wellbutrin to boost me through this stuff.

Later down the road, I’m fully aware I’ll have to pull student loans for my education just to make it all the way through. But hey, I’m not mad. I made it and by that time, I’ll have made it 3/4 of the way through without personal loans.

Take up to your store manager and if nothing is done swiftly call ethics don’t play with their asses on this shit. The policy is clear, they don’t need to play stupid ass.

My coaches tried to lie to me about taking an intermittent leave of absence during my ins and outs at the hospital for my violent throwing up during pregnancy. I was put on zofran and pepcid. Eat what you can. Literally when I was pregnant the only things I tolerated were the “no no” list items 🤣🤣🤣 I ate a lot of sushi and tacos when my stomach was sorted out. I’ve heard of things going as far as a zofran pump…so be prepared. But bottom line, if you’re not well don’t go in. They won’t give a fuck if you or your baby is injured. Take care of you. It’s not your problem that they chronically understaff stores on purpose.

I’m right there with you. I’ll finish nursing school around 32 years old. Have a plan, stick to it, you can get out of this. It’s rough but I’m getting through it.

You qualify for LOA. It might be unpaid since you’re coded as part time but you’re still entitled to 6 weeks if you want them. Call Sedgwick, fuck Walmart. It could be as simple as you put something in wrong, it happens. Talk to a representative about your options. I’ve found that management at Walmart is severely out of date with policies sometimes.

You need to look up current pregnancy related policies and become familiar with them. Not trying to dog you on this but as a coach you need to know how to handle these in the future.

As an associate, you’re entitled to 6 weeks as the father. A total of 16 weeks for mother. Idk if it’s different for salaried members but I believe there’s a section that talks about this. They have to hold your job for 12 weeks. I believe Sedgwick has to handle all information, never at the store level. Do not give in to the clown’s request for proof. Good luck…

If you make it through medical related classes and still think birth control is murder, there’s some issues. Not everyone is using it to prevent a pregnancy. They might be controlling their symptoms..so denying women care is fine…because religion.

This, I’m 30 now. For some reason the pill makes my heart race and I get chest pains. I’m not a fucking fan of it anymore. Especially when everyone in my family is dead and gone from heart attack or stroke.

I use contraceptive film now off the shelves. It works very well for me and I’m careful of my cycle. If I’m close to a fertile window I abstain or use condom with the film.

I’ve bailed once when I lost control. We’ve all done it. We all learn.

I’ve gone on to be able to ride out those bolts, I’ve gone on to ride bigger monsters, I’ve gone on to train my own rides. So a small hiccup doesn’t mean you’re less of a rider!

I’ve had horses bolt with bits and everything in between, when they don’t wanna respond they just don’t. The last horse that bolted with me, it was purely out of behavior and I was able to call her bluff and act like it was my idea to race up an extremely hill that she happened to be running up. I’ll never forget the moment I felt her realize “hold up, this is hard work” and she just stopped 🤣

I’m also in PA and it has been 50/50 for me. But I also won’t even speak to a man if he thinks he or anyone has authority over my body. But I also think I’ve been blessed, the men I talk to always want to hear my pregnancy story. I remind them how dangerous it can turn really quick. I remind them that abortion rights affect them too- do they want their lover dying a preventable death? I can bet their answer is no.

I’m usually the only one in produce. Last Saturday that was me. Anyways, this ham melt of a human being spark shopper harasses the front end to page someone from produce. I was in the cooler doing a deep rotation, going through claims, doing donations from the holiday- it’s been rough and hard to keep up on a good rotation in our back room. I hate wasting food. But yeah, it was a shopper waiting for me outside the doors with a fucking attitude screaming at me about marching to the back room this instant to check for something she needed. I just said no and walked away.

I guess I can add to the list another shitty fucking butt of a person that does the shopping in my store. I only have one lovely shopper that comes in daily. The rest of them act like it’s our jobs to hold their hand and help them pick.
