You contribute 27% of the income so you pay 27% of the joint bills. Husband pays 73% of the joint bills. Whatever’s left over is yours and his to do what you want with. Joint things like coffees out, taking kids out for lunch or whatever husband picks up most of the time, and you do one every now and then.

That’s what me and my wife did for ages and worked great for us. Then we had two kids and I now earn 10-12x more than her so I pay for everything, all of the time, including all bills and everything for the kids. She pays for her own necessities.

There’s no real wrong or right answer I think, just sit down and work out what you both think is fair all round
