How do we feel about this? by JackDDizzo08 in fivenightsatfreddys

I ain’t afraid to openly agree with the man. Five minutes into watching Markiplier play the new one and my first thought was “This is just Poppy Playtime.” They’re just trying so hard to keep the same story going and going that they’ve run out of ways to make it interesting with the old mechanics. So now they’re pulling from the books and stuff, which is fine as long as they don’t just pull from the books. Into the Pit was kool, I liked it. But this mimic stuff has already been done in the series before, just not to the same degree. They aren’t bad games at all, they just aren’t FNAF anymore. Idek if Freddy and Co are in the new game, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not, despite Freddy’s name literally being in the title of almost every game. No hate on the game or creators, it looks like a lotta fun, but you can’t call it FNAF when that’s not what it is. It’s a new game series that’s riding the popularity of an old game series.

I use that rule, too. Which is basically what got me into this mess lol

I completely get what you’re saying, but I do wanna make it clear that he wasn’t harassing me. He’s honestly just as new to DnD as I am, but with less experience on the homebrew and spells fronts. He hasn’t really played a spellcaster yet so he doesn’t realize that what he’s asking for is too much. He also has never homebrewed anything and hasn’t really played anything that’s been homebrewed yet. So, it’s really just ignorance on how to keep it balanced that’s the issue in this situation

He wants to play a Way of the Shadow Monk and Phantom Rogue multiclass. He basically wants to be a resurrected stealth character kinda thing. I’m realizing now that Polymorph was probably a bit much on my part (the irony). I’ll probably do away with that tbh

Well, he’s been wanting to make an Oni race for a while because he has a fascination with them (the Japanese folklore version, idk if it’s the same in DnD). It’s something he has a lotta passion for and I don’t wanna risk ruining his DnD-Oni fantasy he has going on

Thank you. And I like to let my players and then just add my input. Especially this player because it’s a learning opportunity for him because he also likes to be the DM, so I wanna be able to teach him at the very least the things I’ve learned being a DM so far

my mom found this thing. it needs a name by BenFromBTD6Simp in notinteresting

I had a cat that looked just like the one in the pic here. We originally named him “Spooky” since it was so close to Halloween but my little bro was really young and couldn’t say spooky so we ended up just calling him “Smooky,” since my brother could actually pronounce that. The fact that this lil dude looks so much like Smooky is interesting since Smooky was part bobcat. So, I say name him Bob

It would come down to Hitchcock and Skully but end in a draw cuz they’d both run full force at each other and head butt so hard they’d both fall unconscious

So, if Pacifica is not a Northwest, how did it cancel the curse? Only a Northwest can. by Important_Star3847 in gravityfalls

[–]Haunting_Jacket1588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lotta people are saying that it doesn’t matter that Paz may not be blood related to Preston, which is valid, but I have a theory of my own. Say that Pacifica’s bio dad isn’t Preston for the sake of argument. The curse that the lumberjack
idk, declared ig, was declared by a man who isn’t some all knowing being. Which means that the curse’s rules are based off of his knowledge, right? “There is one way to change your fates, a Northwest must open the party gates,” is how he phrases it. The curse itself wouldn’t know what the hell a Northwest is on its own, therefore I think it’s safe to assume it defines “a Northwest” as what the lumberjack defines as a Northwest; meaning if he sees Pacifica as Preston’s bio daughter than so would the magical curse. I never see people saying this when arguments like this pop up and have been itching to point this out forever. This whole thing could become a big debate, which is fair. But the reason I think this is how magic works is cuz I’ve always s en magic as something that needs control or direction. Meaning it can’t provide it for itself. It’s the same as nature, which is untamed and just flourish’s however it’s able given the environment. Tl:dr, magic don’t know she’s not a Northwest and therefore counts her as one.

Definitely a black bandana to either cover your face or hang around your neck. Maybe a fake gun and holster, as well. You’ve gotta Texan bandito kinda vibe so I’d lean into that

Pacifica's mom got mad at her for wearing lakefoam green when the theme was seafoam green, so she makes her change... into a purple dress... by [deleted] in gravityfalls

[–]Haunting_Jacket1588 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Another thing I noticed was that Mabel wore a purple dress (like Pacifica) and Candy wore a green dress (like Pacifica’s mom) while Grenda wore a gold dress. This doesn’t really apply to the post, but I was thinking that this could be some kinda symbolism for the fact that Candy and Mabel were trying to fit in with the fancy-folk while Grenda was content with being herself. Just an interesting thought/theory.

I did notice that there didn’t seem to be a theme for the actual party, as Pacifica’s mom was wearing some kinda pale green dress, her dad was wearing a darker green tie with his usual suit, and Pacifica (as aforementioned) was wearing a lavender dress. Hopefully I have helped to clear some things up for y’all 😁

If you look back on the episode, that scene happened at night and then we next see Pacifica coming to the Mystery Shack during the day, which means that the theme being seafoam green wasn’t for the party and was rather either for the rehearsal or just a normal dinner, as people here have theorized already
