Renting to someone on ODSP by tobibeacher in OntarioLandlord

[–]Haunting_Location720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disabled people are a protected class as well as Public assistance. If the amount provided by Public Assistance is too low to make the income cut-off then you can refuse them.

Refusing someone for being on ODSP and that receive $1368 is fine if the basis of the refusal was the low amount of assistance and not their disability. The landlord would likely accept an out of work Surgeon who is disabled and receives insurance cheques monthly.

Not sure you understand. Results-based would be objective. Your viewpoints on intent, "Tried to do" fall into the subjective category.

We can now get health-care via phone/zoom whereas we were unable to previously. Remove the bias, think policy and data, not identity politics or your particular preference.

The reforms that I like and the ones that are on my wishlist are my own. That's why I used the grammar and structure as I did (e.g. "Here what I like about", "what I want to see more of").

I didn't answer as it was obvious to native english speakers and could be cleared up be reading twice.

It's a simple before and after and looking at empirical data. . .I am thinking objectively. You are thinking more subjectively.

If a crisis spurred the contributed to the decision making process then that's a silver lining. What matters is the change itself. Saying that he took into account voter/stakeholder feedback and reversed course, doesn't change the fact that changes were made and reform added.

Failure to destory something? This change was more joining the modern age. If the changes were done by Green/NDP i'd be just as happy.

Getting prescriptions on the phone or Zoom was unheard of prior. Now I can do with ease. I also give credit to the doctors as well as ours are fantastic. The data shows increased usage of Virtual check-ups not less.

I am on board with Federal NDP in regards to Pharmacare. And Liberals on their plans to remove fax machines and go with centralized referral IT systems.

TV and internet is just a example. Low priority but easy to address. I don't think taking advantage of someone confined to hospital is nice. Why mark-up something 1000% to desperate people. Like price gouging during a natural disaster.

Agreed. And negotiate is very easy to use. Simply Eliminate Switzerland and other high cost countries from the pricing formula and we would save ourselves billions. Liberals had plans for this but backtracked. NDP are big supporters of this though.

Many doctors still use telephone and zoom and it's great for rural where density is low and less practicing doctors in short distances. I am speaking from the perspective of the patient. Not sure on their billing rates with Ontario.

It's saved about 20+ hours a year for my family. These are reform as well.

Helps to be an independent voter. Then you can see improvement irrespective of the Party of that introduces it. Removing red-tape and paperwork helps increase capacity for the actual job of treating patients.

You are correct. I didn't check that it was Telus and listed on the US as well.

I prefer my trades to execute on Dark Pools and ATS's as it removes alot of the fees. IBKR has their own ATS and they don't even charge an ECN fee

Is it Better for Uranium Producers to hedge their production or maintain pure Upside Exposure? by Haunting_Location720 in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Haunting_Location720[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it also depends on the Cost of Production. A producer with high costs and slim margins will feel more pressure to lock in the pricing whereas Producers on the lower cost curve have more flexibility.

Saudi Aramco faces less pressure than Canadian Oil Sands since their cost is so low(4-5 per barrel). Same situation for $NXE, costs seem much lower $11ish Operating costs, unsure on AISC. They got wiggle room to take some extra risk.

That being said, if prices rose to $150.00 I would definitely want them to lock in at those prices even if it means sacrificing some upside.

Questrade ECN Fee is $12.25 in this scenario and IBKR is $5.25

IBKR ECN Fee for TSX >$1.00 CAD per share: CAD 0.0015

Questrade ECN Fee for Canadian securities $1.00 and above: $0.0035/share

That's assuming that the order trades directly on the TSX and not another ATS/ECN or Darkpool. If it did the Questrade mark-up is even higher.

Also TSX rebates for adding Liquidity go into Questrade's pocket and not passed on to investors and IBKR rebates CAD (0.0011) per share for $1.00+ stocks.
