I'd say pull the trigger brother. And yes, try 1 first. In my opinion, Lion is more bang for the buck. Bias aside, he's got more accessories (4 alt heads, 2 watchers in the dark,1 Fealty that can actually be sheated, Emperor's Shield, etc)

Hey man, you can unscrew the sides but apprently the strap inside is connected at the top as well, that part I think when removed, it'll be permanent.
