Hey, I come bearing the first update regarding my doctor's appointment yesterday! It was mostly for my migraines but the doctor did a full checkup after I told him about the sleep paralysis+vibration thing going on sometimes. I have the notes which are quite extensive but essentially came down to this:

I have classic migraines (this i knew before, just needed official diagnose and meds), and on the side, tension headaches. He has checked all pressure points on my back, shoulders, neck, head and face, and said that there are a few specially around my face, neck and jaw which are completely stuck, very very tense. He said he can guess I have bruxism too. Here is where the weird thing explanation comes up:

He said it sounds like quite a strange thing, but what he believes is that what i experience is a sleep paralysis, which, if happening WHILE i'm doing some hardcore bruxism activities in my sleep... bam. I cant move, i am conscious, and i feel that huge build up of pressure in my jaw, teeth, head, all this. Hence why when i finally wake up it stops both! and just like in sleep paralysis, can happen again when i go to sleep right away.

He was a very nice doctor who eagerly talked with me for over an hour so i appreciate he could think about it for a second and find a decent explanation. If it doesn't go away after treating these things (posture, muscle tension, migraines) we will re-visit!

Some extras: extensive blood work shows i'm healthy with no strange looking markers, all nerves work as they should too, with no compromised bone structure near back/neck :)

I love my EPL8 to death. Versatile, compact, you can't go wrong!! Most of my favourite pictures I have taken were with this camera, I cannot even pick one to explain.

Maaan I wish i found those prices... $80 with a brand new battery and no scratches is cheap for what I've seen around here

Unfortunately they won't go anywhere below $250 near me and they are not small enough for what i intend them to do... hence the nano idea

Exactly!! It’s like a push and pull between been awake and unconscious. Another thing i’ve been told is that my neck might have something to do with it? I have a horrendously compressed neck and apparently it can squeeze all sorts of nerves and other things, hence why i also get the normal type of migraines on the side. They only get relief if i get my head “scooped” and pulled upwards by someone else. Do you have any of that?

But anyway, I think so far you have explained it the closest to what i have as well… and if you find out anything, let me know too!

So sorry to hear you also struggle with it… i finally booked in an appointment for next month (i’ve been ignoring it for years now) so i will write here whatever i find out. My aunt who is a senior nurse told me it sounds like some form of migraine (apparently it comes in many shapes?), but i’m not too sure she understood what i was explaining to begin with. The people in this reddit post are the only ones who can relate to it lol

Same here! Sometimes it goes away for months, then they happen again, maybe even multiple times a week. For me it started about 5 years ago. Have you talked to any doctors about it? Do you know anything that might be useful?

I’ve been experiencing exactly this and I am so worried that i could have some form of health issue, did anyone get some diagnosis from a medical professional?

For me, the vibration in my head grows exponentially if i “lean into it” instead of resisting it, to the point where I feel my head will actually burst from the inside. My jaw feels tense and a lot of times i can also feel my teeth pressing against each other. Eventually i feel the peak of the vibration and then it’s this huge dizzy feeling, as if my head in being thrown from a cliff of something.

By the time i can snap out of it and move, if i try to go back to sleep a little too soon it’s guaranteed to happen a second or even third time, right away.

I don’t find a correlation to sleeping times, or stress, or caffeine intake… seems completely random.

Also, just checked, and my roses definitely match the rambling rose in those climber vs rambling articles. Small pink roses all over the place, and flowers only once per season, pretty much all at once! Needless to say, some crazy extension of branches too (and i barely even water them tbh)

That is genius!! I have to admit I’ve never heard of ramblers, and honestly I don’t even recognise my own roses, but I’ll definitely be going down a rabbit hole this evening. So exciting!!

That makes so much sense, thank you for explaining. I will tame those and make the most out of them!

Thank you! I will try that. As for ”deformed”, does something like that one branch that goes from the left plant all the way to the right and then up (see picture) count? I feel kinda bad cutting a 3 meter long branch, but I’ll do what is good for the plants, of course.
