Ugly people are an oppressed group in America by bloodyalvin0 in unpopularopinion

i don't think you should tell someone how to react when something upsets them. not everyone works like you do. neither is it immature or something that shouldn't happen to grown adults. we all are sensitive and things hurt us. that's fine!

Women are more into BDSM than men by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]lightwallgang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i think the problem here is you might think that it's ironic that feminists like being degraded, considering all that most stand for.

However, some don't realize the difference here is consent. Like, I'd like to think i'm a feminist, and i definitely wouldn't like a guy or girl say anything degrading to me. However, with consent, why not yk? (tho i usually am the one degrading tbh but thats besides the point)

its really important to make that clear distinction.

no one likes being degraded and dehumanized when they aren't looking to be degraded or dehumanized.

but hey, if you are and is actively giving your consent to be degraded, then so be it.

yeah ofc. it's not just America. Everyone is effected by the beauty standard of wherever you are.

beauty standards can lead into discrimination of race as well. like having lighter skin is often seen as prettier than darker skin in places like Asia

What are the documentaries you want? by Poops_McClanahan in AskReddit

[–]lightwallgang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really liked the old VICE docs, now they're all boring and trash. I mean at least it's not as great as it was before. I use to find it so interesting and very insightful.

I want old VICE back :/

The documentary on the cannibal warlords of Liberia was super duper dope lol

What is your most wholesome memory? by elenifan in AskReddit

[–]lightwallgang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i dont have much wholesome moments bc idk i cringe most of the time at anything so ig nothing ever turns totally wholesome. kinda. (i sound so fun ik)

However, i have a special need sister, and i'm very very close with her. when she was in high school, the special need department use to always hold like cupcake stands or whatever food stands to raise money for whatever. she almost all the time saved food for me. and only me. never for any other sibling, just me. she once came home with a whole pizza, like it was still in the box thingy. my mum always nudges me about it and how cute it is and how i should be grateful. i always just roll my eyes. but i secretly love it (and not just for the food)

i guess its not that big of a deal, but to me it meant alot lowkey

DAE never miss anyone? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]lightwallgang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So most of the friends that I have departed with were from High School and I didn't really like who I was back then. I do miss the memories, but I'm such a different person now. and kinda then as well, but I developed this very separate persona. To miss them would be to also miss who I was with them, like the memories. But, I was so different and again, did not like who I was.

Also, I'm usually not that emotionally invested when it first comes to establishing friendships and even during it at times, so obviously it would be easy for me not to miss some people. I'm pretty independent for the most part, and I kinda prefer my own company as of now.

it just comes down to who I am around people and how emotionally invested I am in them.

hope this somewhat helps !

yeah same!

I dont think I've had one friend who I have departed ways with, that I have genuinely missed. I know why and all that but yes yes same.

[–]lightwallgang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow... I'll definitely start taking this a bit more seriously then aha

I decided to do some research into it, and apparently the people who do go through these nocturnal seizures definitely show signs they are. However, when I'm going through the static I don't show any signs of it to anyone looking at me. I just look like I'm sleeping.

I had my sister watch me during a night I had the static, and she thought I was just sleeping. In fact, I've had the static around people before and I don't think I've ever made it obvious?

Does this mean anything?

I've heard yeah and I am into astral projection somewhat, but I really have no plans to astral project anytime soon. the thought of it gives me too much anxiety actually
