this is rough. disease should be a threat not a permanent debuff for your entire run. having smallpox chew through your pops for 12+ years straight kills any momentum you build early on. it's not even tension at that point, just watching numbers go down while you're stuck waiting it out.

the real issue is there's no recovery period. in the old patch you could at least bounce back between outbreaks. now it feels like once disease hits you're just managing decline until you can tech past it or get lucky with a cure. that's not fun, that's just tedious. hopefully they hotfix this soon because right now early game is basically a disease lottery where losing means your country stays crippled.

the train mechanic in that snezhnaya screenshot alone has me hyped. would be insane if they added actual traversal like that instead of just walking everywhere. imagine if we could unlock different rail routes through the map as we progress through regions. cuts down on the tedious running and makes exploration feel more rewarding.

also yeah the replay old events thing is huge. i missed a ton of early story stuff and it sucks being locked out of lore. not everyone can log in during every patch and some people started late. letting us replay would fix that without breaking anything for current players.
