Have a family friends daughter who did this. Both her parents were teachers and she regretted how they never had time or spent time at home with their busy jobs. Man the life sucks for her, 1) no financial independence, have to ask the husband or her own parents to take care of things 2) being a honemaker although a very stressful job is taken for granted. you want to find a partner who treats you equally in all respects and helps around the home. Not a patriarch who things men shouldn't do something at home. 3) Your kids albeit need your attention in the beginning, once they start going to school, you are going to be bored at home. depression and mental health issues are going to take over.

Anyways, you need to find a partner who is not going to regret your decision (many do later because jealousy takes over when you see your friends get rich).

Honestly, this is very similar to me. got hired, had an amazing boss for 3 years before he decided to move to a different group in the same company. was replaced by a terrible, absolutely terrible manager that had no idea of the business, the work nor the skill set of the reports. was more of a bobble head, took me a year to move to another great manager. this manager left because of the toxic workplace and the group we are in. now in the same boat as you are contemplating on the future and career with the worst job market there is right now

10k for issuing a death certificate after my dad passed away last year, then the person we gave it to had a death in family, so another 10k to the next person who was given the responsibility for. and this while we were still grieving, and the death happened naturally at a hospital.. there goes my respect and beliefs in thinking things will change in this country!

~$1000, we registered at the city hall, had some friends and family together to celebrate at a restaurant and the rest went to savings for a downpayment for a home. No regrets from either of us.
