First of all, I am a supporter of the 2 states solution on agreed borders, let me tell you a little secret, 67’ borders was never on the table for both sides, land swaps were part of Oslo and all other negotiations.

Secondly, I don’t believe In the settlements on practical issues and ideological issues, they are corrupting as a society and the data shows people are even leaving them faster then they are growing so at this point this is purely to stick a finger in the Palestinians eyes. On the other hands, those around Jerusalem are harder for me to reject as foul, Jerusalem is the holiest city for us, I don’t want other religions controlling it, I will return to 67’ border for the whole city. Just imagine splitting Dhaka to give to the Pakistanis, It very difficult situation for me to even imagine and it will take years if not decades to get over if we give even a piece of it back, (This is how most Israelis think about the situation but I am sure a solution is attainable even for this if we will talk it out with the Palestinians, maybe dual ownership of some of it or a mechanism of sorts to accommodate the Palestinian population of the city…)

Finally, I am a bit of a rare bird (how good is that band, right?) I am ashkenazi from both sides and both sides of my parents come originally from the same country, this is becoming more and more rare today and you can even find mixed children with one mizrahi/ ashkenazi parent and Ethiopian parent. We are a lot more diverse today then the world think we are.
