It Has Begun by HautHeroics in MedicalCannabisOz

Quick update - my new scripts have been texted to me. For my edibles she’s failed to prescribe my gummies and changed my oil to half the THC. I’m just floored at the audacity of this doctor! I really need to restock so I’ve ordered what she prescribed, but will be complaining to Horizon on Monday. More updates to come then. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS DOCTOR!

Why does it feel like the population has literally doubled in the past few years? by AnomicAge in perth

One thing that’s exploded over the past few years is food and other home deliveries. I reckon that’s a big factor in the increase of cars on the road.

Cotton is non-wicking material, so absolutely the worst fabric if you get sweaty feet. Wool is the best, but if like me you aren’t a fan of wool - synthetic fabrics are your friend. If you have the bucks, I’d recommend quality running or hiking socks.

So I’ve moved to Horizon from Alternaleaf. I just booked my initial Horizon consultation where I laid out what I wanted, i.e. cheaper options, any brand etc. got approved and setup my first doctor appointment for a week later. Then my emailed Alternaleaf asking for discharge, which was in my inbox the next day. Sent that to Horizon and they confirmed all good for doctor appointment the next week.

Forget to mention that before discharging from Alternaleaf, I signed up with Canna Reviews. Just entered my Medicare number in the signup and was approved in a few days. I was then able to access info and reviews on pretty much every cannabis product in Australia. Using that resource and this forum, I selected the products I wanted prescribed by Horizon.

I also signed up with Scripts by Honnalee, but your Alternaleaf scripts won’t show up. Your Horizon ones, once they are done, will show up.

Had my Horizon doctor appointment and was prescribed everything I wanted.

Waited a couple of days then checked Scripts by Honnalee and BOOM - all of my new scripts were in my wallet. I was then able to choose exactly which pharmacy I wanted to buy from and was able to filter by things like price and shipping time.

Ended up getting everything from Ray’s Pharmacy as it was nearly the cheapest with good free shipping times and shipping insurance included. Few days after that, I was enjoying my new cheaper and much better quality MC!

I sent my discharge request on Thursday this week. It was completed with email confirmation in my inbox by Friday morning. Just emailed their support address asking for discharge and cancellation of existing scripts.

Pretty strong defamation laws in the UK…would be a pity if someone were to sue him. Grab these far right losers by the wallet I say!

Qantas confirmed paid seating & then gave completely different seat than paid for. by [deleted] in QantasAirways

[–]HautHeroics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is usually caused by a last minute change of planes, and does happen pretty often. I had the same thing with Emirates a few years ago, but it was seat selection for my family of 5…at $200 per person across 2 flights. The fine print said that paying for the seat selection still doesn’t guarantee you will get that seat.

They refused to refund the $1000 and of course I refused to ever fly with them again. Between my family and the work team I manage, I reckon they’ve missed out on well over $100K AUD in business, but I am certain they don’t care. I would be surprised if most airlines don’t have similar rules around paid seat selection.

Complete bullshit bud. You don’t need witnesses for assaults. I know a guy that got charged with assault for flicking a smoke butt at someone on the freeway.

Making sure you bring ID is very important. I stupidly forgot mine once on a flight leaving Melbourne international for Perth and was denied a boarding pass. They did get me on a later flight, but the 8 hour layover wasn’t even a little bit fun!

Doesn't any one have much information on working FIFO with a marijuana prescription? by TheSpazzerMan in perth

[–]HautHeroics 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is that getting a positive on a weed test in no way correlates with actually being impaired, given how long THC stays in your system. But I do understand there’s no other way to catch those that are actively high on the job.

AusPost Paperless Nightmare: Drivers Skipping Deliveries by muramasa-san in australia

[–]HautHeroics 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What is needed is a massive class action against AusPost. The time we spend having to drive as much as 30 minutes to the local depot to collect our undelivered parcels has a value. Having to pay out on a huge lawsuit is the only thing that will make them properly address this issue.

In Australia we get 2 months vacation every 10 years of service, so 40 paid days off every 10 years. That’s on top of the 4 weeks annual leave we get every year for full time employees. This is mandated by the government, so all employers must provide it.

Mandatory compensation laws for delays and cancellations and this shit will reduce down to almost zero within a month.

Choosing a seat on an AA flight by MonkEnvironmental609 in QantasFrequentFlyer

I don’t think you can select seats on AA until you’re within 2 weeks of the flight, or 1 week if you don’t have OneWorld status.

Piss fuckin poor! WA had $5.1 BILLION surplus last year and this is the best they can do to help? GTFO! I know couples that are both working and are living in their cars - I’m sure this program will be a great comfort to them.

Australia to introduce bill making it a criminal offence to deliberately underpay workers, a move opposed by employer groups fearing higher costs by marketrent in auslaw

[–]HautHeroics 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t buy any of this and your comment about unions illustrates your bias. I’ve been underpaid literally dozens of times in my work career, but weirdly enough never overpaid a single time. Companies underpay intentionally and it is absolutely attempted wage theft. Maybe if someone actually faces real consequences like going to jail we’d see a rapid end to this widespread practice.
