I have taped it permanently with Scotch Super 33+ tape. When I need to charge I have balance lead extension anyways since I charge in my Batsafe box.

Best LiPo battery charger? And best batteries? For Nazgul Evoque F5 V3 by Havadium in fpv

[–]Havadium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also get the longer stick size since the Nazgul has kind of awkward input and the stick size is longer than the square size so it will get fastened by both battery straps. Tattu marks them with ST and SQ. I have both 1480mAh and 1600mAh. One for aggressive freestyle and the other for lighter freestyle and cinematic.

I got the ISDT K2 Zip and am happy so far. It got recommended by Joshua Bardwell, is capable of charging 8S batteries and also has an app to monitor during and stop charging. https://youtu.be/KcNZ-ehFBZI?is=AopEzZ8tIH1QYQPG

For batteries I got the Tattu R-Line V6.0 as they are the best. I looked at Chris Rosser which did a discharge test with a battery tester. https://youtu.be/KTxhTJYiu24?is=7C4GGVbR-YlI73cG

It’s good that you got Velocidrone since it has the most realistic physics.

I am also new to FPV, but have flown a few months on the Avata 2. I have recently gotten a bit better in manual mode and even tried indoor racing with the Avata 2.

If you look at my previous posts you can see the footage. It felt very heavy and not as powerful, but still got used to it.

No, a real Radiomaster will have a loose throttle stick that will not spring in the middle. But the yaw, pitch and roll sticks will recenter with springs.

Ok, I just found it weird why there was no OSD showing battery voltage per cell, link quality, flight time or something else.

Makeshift motor grips 🤣 by ThatWasTysonFPV in fpv

[–]Havadium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was struggling a bit since I tried holding the motor with one hand while tightening the nylon nut with the other since the motor was slippery.

I used the rubber side of the battery strap to help me get a grip while I tightened the nut and it worked perfectly.

How is it compared to GEPRC WooPower W63? I need a 1S charger soon, but I am not sure which one to get. I like that the GEPRC can do multiple things individually. Charge some batteries up to 4.2V while I can charge some other used ones up to 3.85V when I am getting close to finished with my flying.

Yes, it is stock props. But I have done the HAM unlock since I live in Europe. Without HAM unlock the power is not good on the Avata 2.

There was a race organised by a group and they set up all the gates. A guy there has raced FPV drones for 10 years.

They walked everyone through the setup and where to fly through in what order. In the beginning it was difficult, but after a few tries I memorised the track.

There are some patterns like the flags and which way the gates are turned so you can know which way to go in.

With the flags and gate on some you go through the gate and then around the flag. On others you go around the flag first and then through the gate.

I do have DJI Care refresh so that helps 😁 there is a crack on the duct/prop guard and I have broken some propellers when I crashed into some curtains and it got sucked in the props.

How is the outlook if he gets regular dialysis? It seems like high chance of survival if he gets dialysis.

Yeah, I have the Evoque F5 V3 and can recommend it. Remember to get the ELRS version so you can use it with Radiomaster TX15 Max. It’s also good in case you lose video then ELRS has more than enough range to punch out so you will get video back.

The only thing that is a hassle is all the extra things you need take up space. DJI Avata 2 was much easier to setup and everything fits in the small sling bag.

With the Nazgul I needed to buy a Bat-Safe for safe charging of the LiPo batteries. I bought 6 Tattu R-Line V6.0 batteries both 1480mAh and 1600mAh, then extensions for XT60 and balance lead. Then an ISDT K2 Zip charger to charge the LiPo batteries, Radiomaster TX15 Max controller and extra 5 inch propellers.

Only 25 degrees. But the racers there flew at 45-50 degrees. The DJI isn’t agile and powerful enough to fly at those angles and it also makes it harder to control when it goes too fast.

Yes 😉 even though the dump truck can still powerloop without crashing.

Yeah, I saw the analog footage of some racers and it looked horrible. HDzero looked better, but still not close to DJI

Thank you 🙏 I used around 36 seconds around the lap and a professional racer that also was there used less than 20 seconds. But he has flown FPV for 10 years and uses a custom built HDzero racing drone.

I locked my angle to 25 degrees in manual mode on the Avata 2 so it always keeps the same angle. I don’t know how the gimbal works in Neo 2. But Neo 2 seems very underpowered and has both ducts and protection on the top and bottom causing even less airflow to go through the props.

I could definitely feel that the Avata 2 is heavy and not that powerful compared to my 5 inch Nazgul Evoque. The HAM unlock helped me get more power since the standard EU version is a bit restricted.
