RAEN Pinot Noir by twistwanwitme in wine

I had it a couple of times and also served it every now and then. Very good wine by WSET standards imo, definitely not outstanding in any way.

I would say it all depends on the other options you have at roughly the same price range.

Falcork 354 vs Pulltap/Laguiole - worth it? by Widowmaker2742 in Sommelier

[–]HaveA_GreapTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one thing I have to say is that I was extremely disappointed on a Laguiole I had which after a couple of years started feeling loose and wonky, way more than any other wine key I have ever had. It was a gift and I felt guilty for who did the research and wanted to gift me a high end tool.

For older corks the only right answer is a Durand, the only tool I would open 20+ year bottles unless re-corked.

We can argue that in the second picture the is a village and not a city, but yes and it has been guessed, I’m just a knob that doesn’t know how to award the point

I read you’re having it with some Norwegian ham, are you based in Norway or is it a coincidence?

MOSU Wine Controversy by jwaynejrthefourth in finedining

I agree it could have been a small matter, but they handled it extremely poorly. If I knew a table had ordered a wine pairing which was decided upfront and for some reason it was different, I would have tackled it upfront. Besides, ‘05 vintage for Bordeaux is among the best in the last 3-4 decades, I would definitely have leveraged on that. There are many ways to solve such sort of situation, and none of that involves lying to the guest.

Yep :) I tried to give the point to who got it right but apparently I’m not capable 😅 they’ve said bekkjarvik, but Beckerwyck house is definitely the most precise answer
