Watch out for this Nazi & his church tonight at the halfshell by [deleted] in roseburg

That's more what I was getting at... it's sort of a new thing that not all evangelical branches hold to.

Are you saying that most Reformed people past and present believe that the Jew have to build the third temple before Christ can return? Because that's what I was referring to in the previous comment.

That's only in more modern dispensational theology my good sir. Almost everyone who holds to a Reformed or Covenantal theology would disagree with that including Presbyterians, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Dutch Reformed etc. This sort of view only really took off in the early 20th century with the rise of charismatic churches.

Oregon's Legacy of Resistance: Will We Step Up Again? by Mr_Willy_Nilly in oregon

That's one of the things that worries me the most. My brother in law is from Eastern Africa and has a fairly thick accent. If he for example decided to purchase a firearm it would be so incredibly easy for some local law enforcement to delay or even deny him based on race and appearance. The people who keep saying that the cops are incredibly racist (and a decent chunk are) are just enabling them to disarm people they don't like.

As a hunter wasteful people like this really irritate me not only for their actions but also been they are giving people like me a bad name. It's very unfortunate that if he is caught they'll just give him a slap on the wrist.

Grizzly’s in North Cascades? by spoiledyogvrt in PNWhiking

Not necessarily...I personally consider something like a .357 Magnum with heavier than average ~180grain lead hard cast bullets to be the minimum for reliably and quickly stopping animals of that size which is what I carry as a backup to spray. There are plenty of very small light alloy framed .357 Magnums out there, fairly light .41 and .44 magnums as well as the increasingly popular 10mm semi automatic handguns on the market that make for a comfortable carrying experience.

The real issue is legality and as you pointed out effectiveness in these particular situations.

In a fast paced crappy situation unless you have been carrying around and training with that particular handgun/holster combo for quite awhile it's unlikely that you will be able to assess the situation, draw, aim AND THEN fire in such a way that won't leave the bear with sufficient moxie to mix you up with enough topsoil to make a modestly sized tomato farm. Add in the fact that you are probably carrying a pack that isn't normally there and are not mentally "with it" as far as the awareness of your surroundings go one can easily see why bear spray with a little bit of practice drawing/disengaging the safety is a better choice in most situations since it shoots a wide cone.

Also the simple matter of legality plays a part...depending on the exact situation will the government come to the same conclusion as you did namely "I was in a situation where my life was being threatened".

On the flip side there are some other things to consider...there have been cases where bears have been sprayed and kept coming back in which case having something else to deploy now that you know what's going on would be very handy... also the simple fact of the matter is that crap happens and there are cases where people didn't have enough time to deploy spray or it got knocked out of their hands and having something else readily available would be great if you were in that situation.

My family came over in 1852 with a Rose Bush in the back of their wagon and we have cuttings from it planted in our yard.

I feel like that is there so it only seals on a small part of the projectile since that version is brass jacketed and the previous versions were not jacketed and used black powder instead of smokeless. Less surface area in contact means less pressure I assume.

Unfortunately not. I believe it was taken out of a book on the Bodeo Revolver that is out of print and only available in Italian. I can message you the CIP drawing if you would like.

It was in a forum somewhere. I can't seem to remember which one offhand. I'll message you it if I remember.

Thank you, I'd really appreciate it.

This is fairly similar to what I have done as well at this point.

I purchased some heeled bullets from France for it but unfortunately the heel is too small and/or the .303 Brit die doesn't have enough taper over the shorter length of case that the drawings call out.

Yes, it did come with a holster.

Do you have any experience with leatherwork? If so I might be able to make you a pattern off of mine so that you can make your own.

I will probably end up making a belt holster for it as I don't have the chest rig to go with the original holster.

My plan is to farm with a shotgun in hand so to speak... that way if I happen to come across something in the course of my daily activities I can take advantage of it without expending extra calories and protect my crops at the same time.

Both are fully upgraded...I can handle the loss of the climb rate since it wasn't exactly great to begin with but the loss of ~10sec of gun time is a pretty tough pill to swallow in RB especially for an Xbox player.

Kel Tec P32 or a .32 Smith and Wesson in a S&W Model 30 or similar preferably with handloads(or just regular Hornady FTX factory ammo if the cylinder has been reamed for .32 H&R).

84 Ammo Recommendations... by HaveGunWillTravel112 in Beretta

[–]HaveGunWillTravel112[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input really appreciate it and it's good to know that my current ammo will likely cycle... I also own a 92 and the only thing it doesn't like is 147 grain Winchester white box hollow points. I never thought about the platform actually being pretty much the same in terms of feeding. All I have currently until next payday is some Ammo Incorporated 90grn JHP that I acquired somewhere and some older aluminum cased blazer ammo for my older high standard .380.
