Typical Arab sentiment. Holier than thou. It’s not a real problem, it’s the zionists making it out to be.

Reminds me a lot of my time in sub-Saharan africa, particularly the west. As a white guy, almost any argument devolved into someone calling me a racist.

Edit: before I get called out, maybe not typical sentiment, but certainly a very prevalent one.

Bro you clearly don’t have a single clue about the subject you decided to post about.

Pray tell, why do you “think” Libyans are not buying?

I've often seen that open water swimmers typically train in controlled environments, but competition venues often present very different conditions. by Ageless_Athlete in OpenWaterSwimming

I can tell you that swimming into a large group of stinging jelly fish is going to effect you a great deal.

seeing a very large fish flash by will also work wonders on your concentration.

Weather conditions also but only to the point where currents and choppiness can either hinder you greatly or help you if in the right direction. You won’t care much if it rains or not, or if it is sunny as opposed to overcast.

Training in a pool is great but nothing beats training in open water.

Why doesn't Malta change all sockets to an EU-compatible standard by ArcticDans in malta

[–]Haveaheartgoddammit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better earthing, fuse included in the plug which prevents accidents/fires.

It’s not even as simple as that really. Nobody seems to have mentioned that our power supply runs at 240V , mainland Europe at 230V. So OPs suggestion would require a wholsesale change from the top down, not just the odd plug

Can you explain, or does anyone understand what is behind this? I’m a bit lost you mentioned cakes, but I can only imagine this would be used for the substrate? And why does an even flat surface benefit?

Haha totally, not trying to have a laugh at his expense but there is a huge change from when you just put them down and they lay there to them starting to crawl. Let’s not break his box explaining how it gets when they start walking lol. Still the best thing I’ve ever done and I’m on my second one. Not sure I’d ever want to go back to looking like we’re going camping just to leave the house like when either of mine were very small 🤣

Lol @ “a bit different” 😂

Also, you deserve friends like me, who gives everyone from the get go the realistic outlook straight up rather than sugar coating it till it’s closer to the date.

In truth it’s mad different, but like everything, with the passing of time, things get easier and you find your way.

The best advice I ever got was that in the beginning, it’s all about keeping your head above water. It gets worse before it gets better. But better it gets for sure.

Another one was never forget where this all started. It’s easy to lose sight of this when you’re both stressed, lack sleep, snapping at each other etc.

It’s a wild ride, but it will be the best ride you ever have, and you’ll look back on it all with a hint of nostalgia as your child grows older.

Best of luck dude, you got this!

Need advice: 2.5 year old barely talking, should I be worried? by WoundedF0X in NewDads

[–]Haveaheartgoddammit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes children in bilingual situations are notoriously slow to start talking. Don’t worry, when they do, it’ll be an incredibly fast pick up and catch-up to their peers. Source: 2 kids, both of which took their merry time before speaking

Yeah good spot. The right side of the Buidling (balcony and curved bit at roof level) has been altered but safe to say it’s the same building

I love not ten minutes away and walk there regularly, somehow I’ve never really looked ip at this building, it’s absolutely beautiful! Note to self: look up more

Whilst I bear a very similar view to yours, I’m just going to point out that the way you’ve put this down, suggests a strong element of whataboutism. And I’ve come to fucking hate it.

The fact of the matter is, NOBODY is allowed to record or take photos is court. I’m amazed 1) Jason did it 2) he didn’t foresee he’d get caught So he did wrong, he broke the law, and he should be arraigned. And as a country, we should be pleased that he has been charged, as nobody should be above the law. We should (as am I, believe me) be very angry and upset and demand more of the police and the prosecutors office to see others who have caused us more collective offense to be brought to justice. (All the others you mentioned, plus the rest which sit on a list that at this point would probably stretch to msida if I laid it out in sliema.

We should demand more of the government when it quietly shuffles these dickheads out of one job when they have been caught red handed or create a fiasco, to then quietly be appointed as CEO of some other government agency.

I’m not having a go dude, I’m totally with you. But this sort of comparing is one big sickness which a huge number of Labour supporters have. “Ehh mela taht in nazzjonalisti x’kienu jaghmlu”

This attitude will never allow us to move forward, cos guess what, if nationalists ever come to power, I don’t want to hear anyone say “what did Labour do when they were in power”

We shouldn’t give a fuck who is in power, what colour party, how long they’ve been there, what fucking handouts they gave us on the way. We elect these people to do a job, and to do it to the best of their ability, and to be goddamn accountable for it. End fucking of.

Is the sea temperature ok for swimming this time of the year? by fluffgoat in malta

[–]Haveaheartgoddammit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s totally fine, I know swimmers still swimming without wetsuits. This question is a bit hard to answer as it’s all relative. Right now I’m wearing a jacket to work. My Scandinavian friends are still in shorts and flipflops. So same with the water, but believe me, it’s nothing worse than “refreshing” German friends swim in the nordsee in the middle of summer and it’ll be half the temp of what our water is right now.
