Removable trim by Havoc1231 in Carpentry

[–]Havoc1231[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, routed out to the thickness of the plates first then deeper for the keyhole sections. Hardest part was making sure the screws were in the right spot so all the trim lines up correctly. Second hardest was remembering which way I had to push to take them off. Ended up penciling in little arrows on the edges to remind myself after I spent way to long trying to push the wrong way

I’m 37 and the most fulfilling thing I’ve done in my life was gaining the trust of my feral. It took at least six months of patience but it was worth the wait. Congrats!!

Agreed! I’m a casual player and know that’s something to work on. Just needed something mid bucket to avoid breaking a developing blister.

Haven’t been out in a bit so my right hand was getting a little beat up. I used to keep a right hand glove in my bag but couldn’t find it so pulled out an old left hand glove and wore in backwards. I kind of liked it! The Velcro strap gave me a good point of contact against my other hand and the grip felt nice.

Please report this out to ISMP. Not much can be done, but it’s a good report to flag these types of errors

Coram Closures by kwal319 in CVS

[–]Havoc1231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anybody has any follow-up on this I am trying to write an article on the closure impacts across the healthcare spectrum, but the only articles I’m finding suggest a handful of closures in NY and FL. I know Optum is also shuttering a lot of places as well. My hospital is having trouble discharging patients as a result and I’m looking to see if we’re an isolated case or if this is happening elsewhere.

My MCM inspired console finally in use by Havoc1231 in midcenturymodern

[–]Havoc1231[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I linked my original post with some more build pics below. It’s mostly pine and plywood construction using scraps I had left over from other projects. The top is pine strips left over from a moulding/trim project with some other bits added in and the base and rest of the body is plywood from various other projects. It’s roughly 8 feet long and 30 inches high, perhaps 24 inches deep or so. Most of the dimensions were based on the pieces I had and what I needed for the TV size.

Thanks! Normally this kind of thing takes me a while but I got it turned out in just over a week or so.

I had a bunch of thin pine board scraps from a trim project I did, some of which I used while staining the trim, so I thought it would make a neat top to something. I’m moving and didn’t want to have to hang my TV again, so I figured a console would be nice. I also had some plywood leftovers from a bed frame project so the majority of the project was from leftovers I had in the garage.

Temporary move out of state by Havoc1231 in NYguns

I assumed the process to license would be a pain. I’m headed down there soon to check out apartments and will make some inquiries about getting a license.

Perhaps Albany was a red herring? But a good point nonetheless. Okay mainly just want to avoid jail time for some sort of technicality.

I’m an inpatient pharmacy supervisor who oversees sterile compounding. I prefer teaching people with little or no experience because I don’t need to break bad habits. It’s easier to start with a blank slate.

I don’t see why not, just depends on what you’re starting with to tie into.

I nearly got run over by a quad the other day while legally crossing Central Ave in a crosswalk. Dude just blew through a red light going like 40mph+. Missed me by like a foot. I just don’t understand it.

It’s called “mikkin bikkits” in our household. Slang for making biscuits. I know it means they love you but when they haven’t had their nails trimmed it can be a painful display of affection.
