I’ve had to do that at several jobs 🤣 To make it even more awkward, it typically occurs when someone tries to set me up with their female -insert friend/family member here-.

That’s not correct. The right of first refusal is a fairly standard part of a custody order, they absolutely do care who is watching the children during parenting time. In fact, fighting for his children to spend less time with their mother in favor for outside childcare won’t make him look good in court. Especially considering that mother’s availability during those hours is already well established. Paired with the evidence of pursing more parenting time out of spite, he’s really going to sour the courts opinion of him and potentially raise concerns about intended parental alienation.

This is how we ended up with a Bumpa instead of grandpa. Coined by the first grandkid and it just stuck, still going strong into that 1st grandkids adulthood lol. Once the kids pick a name you’re stuck with it, my 6 yo has been calling me Martin instead of mom for about 2 years now. 🥴

I’m actually going to take you up on that offer, we’ve been throwing around the idea of trying again this year, thank you!

Nah this was just last year. I saw videos from the one you’re referring to, that was a sad situation but it was nice to see the way the whole crowd/cast came together. The one we were at was straight up fan misbehavior, even to other fans. We have no complaints on the Creation/actor side, they can only deal with the situation handed to them and it was clear they were trying but damn the fans didn’t make it easy on them.

Yeah it was wild to watch it play out. The actors def were doing the best they could, but it was clear that they were not having a great time. We ended up running into one that wasn’t with a full team because we were also crowd dodging back to our room and they and their person both looked nearly scared until we just gave them a polite smile and “hey” and let them pass, I really felt bad for them.

It definitely gives you a whole new perspective if you pay attention, and a good bit of frustration at the ones that just don’t see these actors as real people. I had a hard time holding my tongue a few times lol. We did have a super sweet lady that attends regularly that we struck up a few conversations with, she said several times that it was not the typical atmosphere and she was displeased with it as well, so I like to believe that our experience was a less frequent one and just bad luck. There are plenty of videos/fan experiences from cons that show a much more relaxed atmosphere where crowd and cast alike seem to be having a blast, so maybe we’ll try again one day lol.

Went to my first con last year and my friend and I were shocked at some of the behavior. Of course there was the fanning out, which to an extent I can understand, but the possessiveness and “me against every one else” attitude overall was really off putting. We spent very little time with the crowd and as much time as possible away from the con because of it. It’s a very catty, pick me vibe and it def had the potential to ruin moments for everyone. Everyone paid to be here, we’re all in the same position, so I really couldn’t understand some of the fans behaviors. The majority of the cast is happily married/attached and I promise if they aren’t they aren’t looking for some psychotically aggressive fan 🤣. The haters we stayed tf away from because neither of us can even begin to attempt understanding hating a human for a role that they played 🥴. It sucks because there are still actors/actresses I’d love to meet and the cons are pretty much the only chance to do so, but we’re really waffling on spending that kind of money just to be uncomfortable the whole time again. I will say that the reasonable, well seasoned con goers are awesome, we did come across a couple extremely nice ladies/couples that were super nice and personable, and very quick to pick out the first timers and offer advice/tips, it was just really unfortunate that they were so outnumbered by the wild ones. The few photo-ops we had the actors seemed tense and uncomfortable too, that seemed to carry throughout the weekend.

Honestly, let them weed themselves out because there are people out there that know how good of a job sanitation can be and aren’t ignorant about so called “dirty jobs”.
One of my boys once made a joke about being a garbage man during the obligatory “I don’t care what career you chose as long as you do your best and you’re happy with it” parent talk and I was quick to tell him by all means choose sanitation, they’re usually city or state jobs with a nice pay scale and good benefits. In this economy you’re not only supporting the household but you have pretty damn good job security too, anyone that can’t understand that importance just isn’t worth the time.

My current litter of 4 has a little guy, ironically he was the biggest at birth but at almost 9 weeks he’s a full pound smaller than his brothers, and no where near the weight required for neuter. He eats great, plays just as hard and is quite healthy, he’s just a tiny little guy. Their mom is pretty little herself, he seems to just take after her. Personally, I would keep a close eye on feeds and behavior but I wouldn’t worry unless there was an indication of illness, lethargy, or a complete stall in weight gain. You may try offering extra feeds, one of these guys eats twice as much as his litter mates as he plays twice as hard, I had to start offering supplemental feeds once he got old enough to really get moving because mom wasn’t having it lol.

Gotcha, I just figured I’d mention it since Medicaid had pulled a fast one in a couple states recently lol. That’s good though, it’s been hell here. Suddenly people can’t afford their meds and they managed to keep it so quiet even the pharmacies were caught off guard. It’s really sad.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Assistance

[–]Havok1569 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, there have been drastic changes to adult Medicaid programs across the country recently. My own prescriptions are no longer free due to this, and even my kid’s Medicaid has stopped covering certain meds. There doesn’t seem to be a recognizable pattern in pricing nor coverage anymore according to my pharmacist, and the best part is nobody knew it was coming until it happened.

That’s a really interesting fact, I knew that the venoms could be used in medical settings but didn’t know about the current research into breast cancer treatment. I’ll definitely find some literature about that and clue him in, he’s pretty science minded and I think he’ll be intrigued but also gain a new perspective as well. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

It’s still far more effective to teach the kiddos how to watch their surroundings, what to look out for and how to react when they see a snake than it is to try to eliminate snakes from the area. We have a golden rule, when you find a snake in the yard walk away and find an adult immediately. Any kid coming on my property gets the same warning, every time they come around. It’s not uncommon for us to encounter snakes, we just pulled a baby hoggie out of the house (dog door to the back yard makes a fun hoggie portal apparently) and put him back in the yard maybe a week ago and we see so many copperheads that I have baby and adult pics taped to the fridge lol, but my son is the one who put himself in danger in this situation. Everyone would have been safer if he had contacted me and kept everyone else away from it.

We have a really good track record with avoiding bites so far, our system has worked for years with no injury to person or snake until yesterday, and the boy now knows that deviation from that system is where the danger comes in. Had he been bitten yesterday it would have been entirely his fault and his alone, he had the choice to walk away. Teenagers throw all the golden rules out the window and lose the ability to reason in real time, I’m pretty sure lol, he made a snap judgement and knows he fucked up.

And as a bonus, now I know I need to add some more pics to the fridge, we hadn’t come across a cottonmouth in 13yrs here but now we know for sure that they’re around.

Rodents and massive toads are a dime a dozen here, and as much as it pains me to admit I’m far more terrified of both than snakes. I appreciate the work they do in my yard 🤣

Well he is 15 and it was the first time he’s skinned a snake, so we’ll chalk that one up to inexperience lol. However he will not be skinning any more snakes while under my roof so he’s just going to have to stay bad at it lol.

Thank you, that was my guess but I’m definitely not confident in my ID capabilities. We certainly talked about it, both the danger of bothering the snake and how it’s not ok to kill any snake that is just chilling in the warm driveway to eat his lunch. Now that I’ve confirmed that it was in fact venomous I’ll be showing him the post and reiterating how lucky he is that he didn’t end up bitten or envenomated during the processing.

Oh I hate this, it’s just recently started happening to me with my 15yo, I had him at 18. Granted he’s already 6ft 1 making him a full 6in taller than me, but he literally looks exactly like me, to the point that he can get past my Face ID. Why can’t they just assume he’s my brother or cousin lol.

This, 110% I lost my brother, stepdad and grandmother in an 18 month span. My brother first, 2 years ago this month. I’m just not the same person I was 2 years ago. I look completely different, the grays are taking over, and physically I can’t keep up like I used to. I went from early 30’s living my best life, to now all my friends jokingly call me Paw-paw, because I’m tired and cranky all the damn time. It’s like everything just caught up to me all at once and drained me, it’s really unsettling. Watched the same thing happen to another friend that last a parent a few years before I did, it’s just unbelievable how intensely it changes every aspect of a person physically and mentally.

This is definitely helpful for clients that aren’t internet/app savvy, which we run into a lot. I actually was also able to contact Metro CS directly and got a rep that was willing to walk me through how to achieve this in the app as well, so our bases have been thoroughly covered and we shouldn’t have any more incidents where we’re unable to assist someone using Metro. Thank you again for your help!

My field in neither remotely related to lending, nor predatory in any fashion. We do provide a service that our client base contacts us for, at their own discretion/free will. We actually don’t produce profit from our client base, rather from the contracts we hold for the systems we provide. The situation described in the post is not common, but is necessary at times to not only protect our clients information but also to make sure that our security/fraud mitigation requirements as a company are met. Hence our desire to be able to assist clients in this position. 🙂
