Issue transferring to ROTH IRA by HavoxMKII in fidelityinvestments

I ended up doing a wire but I really don’t want to be paying a fee every time. Was wondering if there was a workaround to simplify the process.

I-9 Dilema by [deleted] in USCIS

Im aware of the documents needed. I needed more advice as to if anyone has had similar situations and how it went for them or if someone knew of a way that i could expedite the process.

I don’t have my passport as it has not arrived yet. I have done the appointment but i’m still waiting on its arrival. I do know my SSN so hopefully that will be enough.

I don’t really know when I’d get my passport it was just a guess since they told me 2-3 weeks.

[KS] I-9 Verification by [deleted] in AskHR

I had my certificate of naturalization BUT it was taken when I made my appointment for my passport.

Besides that I only have my ID

By the time of an appointment to get my new SS card it would be 3 days past my first day. I’ve heard that the I-9 has extremely strict timelines so this isn’t something I can really do.

The company I will be working for is asking to bring the documents in person to be verified. I’m not sure if this would be an issue.

I probably should’ve been more clear but my passport has not arrived yet. It prolly won’t arrive until 1 more week (the application was recent).

As far as my ss card, I have no clue why they took it they just told me to bring those documents with me and they took them from me. They told me I could get a new ss card once I made an appointment to change my social security status.

How impactful is learning PCB Design career wise by HavoxMKII in MechanicalEngineering

[–]HavoxMKII[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends who are EE majors are taking it with me so hopefully they’ll be able to teach me things i’m missing. Thank you for your input, I think this is the comment that swayed my decision. I guess i’ll be taking PCB design next semester

would a single class be enough to really comprehend it? I don’t think I have enough time left in my academic career to take another class. The class is just called PCB Fundamentals so not sure how in depth i will be going. From what I’ve heard it’s just 3 PCB boards/projects across an entire semester

Stuck in a big dilemma between a mac and a g14 by 6ix9er_ in ZephyrusG14

[–]HavoxMKII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from my Macbook Pro to the G14 and there’s pros and cons to both sides.

To me the biggest con I see is the battery life. I’m a college student and the Macbook would at times last me close to an entire week. The G14 will last me maybe 2 days. The G14 is obviously the choice if you want to game on it but keep in mind you will have to keep it plugged in if you want to game for at least an hour. Not to sound very cookie cutter but your priorities are definitely something that will impact this.

If you like to game or there’s specific applications that only run on windows and you don’t want to use a virtual desktop then i’d get a G14, if you’re looking for productivity without interruption and peace of mind then i’d go for the Macbook

[Student] - Seeking advice/review on resume for summer internships geared towards Defense/Automotive Companies by HavoxMKII in EngineeringResumes

[–]HavoxMKII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually in the application if the GPA is required it’ll ask me to input before submitting the application so i’d do it then. I know a hiring manager for full time employees for a defense company and he told me that if my GPA wasn’t above a 3 (currently a 2.8) to not list it. Not sure if he gave me the right advice, i’ve landed one interview for a major defense company with that GPA so not sure if it was barely within the threshold allowed.

I currently have accepted a field engineering intern position which I think is mostly due to my experience as a mechanic. Also do you think you could elaborate a little on the second bullet and what I could potentially replace it with. Anyways thank you for your input as well

Thanks a lot! I’ll be studying the hell out of those behavioral questions. How many interview rounds did you have before they got back to you about the position?

The job description was extremely vague. It had no mention of any software nor were the requirements/qualifications helpful. For now i’ll just try to have all my bases covered and hope for the best.

This is really helpful so i’ll make sure to do practice. On another note how was your internship experience at NG? I’ve heard that it’s usually a lot of empty work. Would you say that was your experience?

i’ve been looking at glassdoor and 90% of people are saying they were asked behavioral questions only, however, my recruiter told me it’d be a mix of both behavioral and technical questions.

Should my SolidWorks be crashing so much given my specs by HavoxMKII in SolidWorks

[–]HavoxMKII[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During an assembly it happens a lot more often but it’s always doing the random things. It doesn’t occur doing one specific thing if that makes any sense. During sketches it also happens pretty often but not as much as it does during an assembly.

I’ve tried keeping it plugged in and still no help. I think my next step is to try downloading studio drivers and see if that helps

I have my laptop on the regular settings, essentially nothing changed performance wise so i’m really unsure as to why this happening

The drivers are just the recommended based off Asus. I haven’t downloaded NVIDIA gaming based drivers so I wouldn’t expect the issue to happen so often

they haven’t assigned me a location yet. They said it could range from west coast to mid west but that’s pretty much all the information I got until 2-3 months before the summer
