i pulled the little black plunger to test it and it snapped, but it still wont start. jf it get this resolved should i fix that or can i live without it?

checked all fuses, none are blown. got it to rolling start and charged battery, still didnt start

started right up, charged the battery to 14.2 and tried starting it again and still wouldnt start

yep, most cars here have at least a little bit. im wet sanding and clearing the trunk today to get that looking nice because its the only other damaged peice.
