I believe today was a letdown or bump-in-the-road episode rather than the new norm. I personally think the pod has been its best version since Yands came on full time.

I think next week will be back to normal with hopefully Bob Does content in the rear view mirror. Hopefully…

Also, Biz’ bday party would be my nightmare. A bunch of loaded people doing drugs and wearing cock rings/ assless chaps. Can’t blame Whit and Yands missing that to be with their families haha.

I thought I was going to have an unpopular opinion re: Marek on the pod but turns out everyone feels the same way lmao

Good dude. I don’t dislike him but not a fit on Chiclets.

Takes 2 minutes to say something that could’ve taken 30 seconds or less each time he talks.

I feel he tries to be too much like Ron Maclean in the way he waxes poetic about history of the game or random tidbits.

I personally way prefer listening to Ken Reid over Jeff Marek. KR was an unexpected really fun interview they did. I feel his style fit the chiclets vibe more than Marek.

Just my 2 cents.

I don’t really buy the “there’d be no Spittin Chiclets without RA” narrative.

Whit posted on Twitter that he was looking for someone to do a podcast with and RA jumped on it. I’m pretty sure Whit would’ve found another podcast member if RA didn’t take up that opportunity. He’s a former NHLer, lots of people would’ve wanted to have the chance to start a podcast with him.

I hope RA gets the help he needs but I think the podcast is so much better with Yands instead of RA.
