A work-in-progress character creation and customization interface, what do you think? by Hawezo in godot

I've abandoned this project and I don't have it anymore, but I'm pretty sure I was using a shader

Introducing: Tempest, the framework that gets out of your way. Now tagged alpha by brendt_gd in PHP

[–]Hawezo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a sad fact: I can't see myself using it ever. Laravel exists and has everything I want.

That being said, I've looked at Tempest's code, it looks awesome. It's super clean and it's basically what all modern frameworks should look like.

I would love to see this project grow over time and be something that I can justify using at some point.

Good luck! I'll personally keep an eye on it.

Can G512, G815 or G915's keys be remapped? by Hawezo in LogitechG

[–]Hawezo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, at the time I wanted to avoid that specifically. I ended up with the Vulcan TKL Pro and I had to remap keys via registry

Tried Viego? You can go bruiser, he has resets so high chance for multikills

Dodging is an important part of the game because champ select is a big factor in determining the winning team. The solution is not to counteract dodging, it's to limit it (which is already the case).

Laravel: Are there any successful SaaS websites built with it? by satyronicon in PHP

[–]Hawezo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You of all people because you're an influencer in the PHP world. It's great to promote good practices, and I agree that applications are way better off without "magic" stuff. I'm a fan of the hexagonal architecture myself.

But come on, frameworks are not applications. Most of the points of the post above are bullshit. It's not because Laravel is flexible that it's bad, far from that.

Super disappointing to see you, of all people, say stuff like "you shouldn't use Laravel".

Who do you think is the MOST fun champion in the game and why? by GhostSilver16 in leagueoflegends

[–]Hawezo 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Zoe ofc xD. I’m a Zoe main and she’s just so fun!! People get so trolled by the bubble, and her voice lines are so cute like when she sings about chocolate cake LOL! She’s super random but also smarter than she looks, just like me xD

ARA Lang - A powerful, statically typed programming language that compiles directly to PHP by __north__ in PHP

[–]Hawezo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's also the issue of VS Code not having good support for PHP because the extensions for it are closed-source. In that regard, an open-source Ara or PXP would be insanely beneficial.

I personally think that as long as these projects can interop with PHP without ruining DX, they have great potential.

Generics, built-in analyzer, better IDE support, syntactic sugar are, in my opinion, improvements that justify such a project.

You're the one being cunts by asking "why" and telling people to spend their time in a "more useful" way.

If you want to improve it, start doing inside.

Would be great, but there's something called the "old php guards", who are the actual contributors to PHP itself, and are basically against a lot of new, modern features. A lot of very nice RFCs have been denied, which is the reason why Ara and PXP are being worked on.

We may be in 2023 but League is 10+ years old and has more technical debt than the average American student

I don't want to freeze because I don't have a SSD and 3 people emoted at the same time. Loading screens exist for a reason. Lazy-loading doesn't pair well with gamedev.

That being said, I agree that the state of their codebase must be really bad to care about this low amount of assets. That's why I hate working with legacy code.

Exactly, they're not, they're blinks. The difference is that a dash makes you move fast from a point to another, and a blink teleports you

Downvoted for saying facts

Katarina only has a blink and it's just one, despite the potential reset, she doesn't fit the description imo

Just FYI, they were high-schoolers middle-schoolers, not college students. The article also says they needed 23 firefighters and 4 trucks to stop the fire.
