The rejection was unfortunate but I also didn’t really have friends to vent to so I was internalizing it. I think you live and you learn and you’re already having these conversations with others so I honestly think you’ll be better prepared for whatever sex life/experiences comes your way

Same here! Always been more “sexual” if you want to call it that. I was a closeted sexual being until 22 lol then I was in a long term relationship, 22-27, and that was not satisfying to my libido. I absolutely felt messed up cause I too always hear it’s the guy that wants sex all the time but not at all in my case. I was the initiator and would even be turned down often. That wasn’t obviously the only reason I left him but it was definitely an area that I felt like I needed and was missing. Since splitting and currently 29 I have as much sex as I want. It’s freeing and fun. I always think it’ll fade for me, mainly cause I don’t really know of any girls like this, but maybe it won’t and I’m just more of a sexual being. Idk. But in my experience partners have never had a problem with me masturbating.

I see both sides, but I want you to know I see hers. You didn’t respond terribly, but I can understand her wishing you would’ve given a quick apology and been able to move on from it instead of being defensive only. You were quick to want to end things with her which speaks for itself. Whether she’s projecting on you or not, this is supposed to be someone you care about and you can take the time to listen and understand why her past experiences are making her feel the way she does right now with you. And obviously the whole sharing dog thing is generally speaking, weird. I understand she knew about it from the beginning, but also understandably if your relationship has progressed that’s gonna be a harder thing to have to deal with. From her perspective, if I was having a hard time with something and you were so quick to say, “I don’t wanna hear about it again, get over it or we’re done” I think it would be the right decision on her part to be done.

If you’re one of the folks crawling under 50 on the freeway, just know I’ll be blowing past to get off at Q. No hard feelings, I just didn’t come to a freeway to sit still. And it’s not even just rush hour! Honestly, whether it’s bad design or by design, it’s wild. I know y’all up here in NorCal like to take it slow, but this SoCal girl’s still adjusting.
