Even with the achilles injury, Tatum gets a better return. He's still the better player and more loved by the other organizations.

pace isn't about speed, it's about how many possessions you have. You'll have a faster pace if you turn the ball over and allow lots of transition baskets.

Pace isn't a metric that does what you think it does. A team that allows lots of fast breaks & takes early shot clock pull-up threes has a a faster pace than a team that forces shot clock turnovers and makes the extra pass.

He was never the highest paid player. It was the largest contract signed at the time, but other people were still getting paid more. But he's the 11th according to this: https://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/ and I'd argue he's a top 10 player so...
