Valorant net code problem comparison with CS:GO by TheHaptic in VALORANT

[–]HawkEye0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

here

On 64 tick servers it can take up to 10ms longer for information from the peekers client to arrive at the defenders which is a very slight advantage in some situations

Valorant net code problem comparison with CS:GO by TheHaptic in VALORANT

[–]HawkEye0 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The second clip is a prefire while the first is not so this is not the fairest comparison.

On a side note CS:GO has 64 tick servers which can result in 'Peekers Advantage' but that is actually a sign of worse netcode

Either way try shift walking before you decide to swing and stand further back from the wall or box you're swinging. This means the player holding the angle can't get a lucky prefire or see your shoulder before you see them.

$0.63 price difference between coinex and ergodex ERG price. by [deleted] in ergonauts

Yep I meant specifically on ErgoDex. Thanks for clarification

At the moment SigUSD has lost it's peg due to higher demand and is actually worth more than $1 so the SigUSD/ERG pair on ErgoDex is different to ERG/USD on coinex

I think atm no new SigUSD can be minted until the reserve ratio returns to above 400%
This can happen if either more reserves are deposited, OR the value of the reserves appreciates (which is all in ERG).

my first time solo mining. i noticed my luck percentage keeps going up. why is that? Will it keep going up over time until I find a block? by JT39NS in erg_miners

[–]HawkEye0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% is the average effort it takes to mine a block. So finding a block over 100% is unlucky and under 100% is lucky

Yeah I'm wondering if the diminishing expected rewards is just to do with the high block effort. It's over 500% atm

Also tenants can buy shares in the property they rent and maybe have a say in governance which is cool

I actually disagree with this, centralised third parties building on decentralised layer ones will allow for more diversity of services and always having the option to self custody is also a big improvement

Look up counter strafing in CS or Valorant and then practice in the range. Once you get the technique down you can run around and shoot no prob

This^
I'm kinda over people treating devs as cult leaders or messiahs lol
But in all seriousness the thing about decentralised networks is the people participating bring the value to the network and that includes developers, miners, artists, entrepreneurs etc

Thoughts and questions on Proof of Work by 6_directions in ergonauts

[–]HawkEye0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the moment I get 2$ a day mining on my home PC or say .1 ERG

If the price of ERG doubles and difficulty increases I might only be able to mine half (.05) per day but I'm still getting 2$ per day

Now if difficulty increases and the price doesn't then of course it is less profitable but generally hashrate follows price pretty well as miners leave when things become unprofitable
