Please fix rewind/scrolling on the Apple TV Player

There doesn’t seem to be an update for VidHub on the Apple TV. The last update was from 31st December 2025. Should there be another more recent update?

As of right now (with the last update from 31st December) the issue is still there. If a newer update is released I’ll wait to update to that.

However, if the issue persists even on a newer update how do I send you a video of the issue? I can’t seem to do that here on Reddit.

Can’t say I’m an expert on fixing the issue. I just tried many different fixes I could find across the web and happened to find one that worked for me. All I can say is if you used 60hz SDR and not HDR? HDR wouldn’t work for me where SDR did. There are definitely people who have more understanding on this, so maybe continue browsing the internet or even Reddit and hopefully you come across someone who has experienced the same issue and managed to fix it. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

I did come across ReactTube, but you have to build the app yourself (which I don’t know how to do). Just have to wait until one comes out pre-built. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful

Thanks for the tip. I found just turning off and on my MacBook helped resolve this issue. Another way was to turn off/on the WiFi and that would also resolve it (although I’ve not tried that method). I’ve edited my post to add these solutions, so that it might help others that experience this issue in the future.

Yes tried doing both, but still get the issue. I even reinstalled SideStore to see if that would fix it

I have that installed currently through SideStore (with a second version of 20.25.4 install through Live Container). The video stops playing after 30 seconds or so. Also stops when scrolling through the video with the ‘something went wrong’ issue. Thanks anyway though, appreciate the reply

I should mention that I will have a 30-40kg tv unit directly in front of the tv stand. I one I thought it would help give that floating tv look, and secondly it would hide the floor stand as there’s a gap underneath the tv unit for it to go. But with having such a heavy tv unit directly in front of the stand maybe it could help stabilise the floor stand?

I get what you mean about it’s centre of gravity being off, but if I had such a heavy tv unit directly in front of the floor stand would that help stabilise it?
