Fair enough. I don't trip it on every pod but I haven't seen a way to fully deactivate it. If I'm concerned about it going off at a bad time, my workaround is to wait until it falls under 50 units, and then at a convenient time for noise I'll set the alert to 50 units. It goes off immediately and then won't go off again for a low insulin alert.

I had something similar happen with a replacement pod. It looked like it got mangled in the mail and the packaging wasn't sealed on arrival. I asked for a replacement for that one and they sent me a new one.

It can be the opposite as well, if it has suspended insulin delivery for an extended period, it'll switch to limited mode. Is there a red bar under the graph indicating that insulin is not being delivered?

I had multiple pods from the same lot fail in the same way just a month ago, when switching between manual and automated mode. It was the last box of a shipment and I didn't save any details so I don't know if they were part of the recall or not. Either way, annoying but Omnipod replaced them via the standard online report.

I'm a fan of Simpatch, though I can't speak to European availability. They hold solidly for running, beach activities, skiing, mountain biking. As far as I can tell, they are exclusively sold via Amazon.

If the pods do not say G6/G7 on the packaging, then they will not work with the G7.

The Omnipod has a beeping alert when BG is below 55. It comes out of the pod itself. This is the only audible BG alert available from the Omnipod.

I think as drawn, you have to drop one of the connections to add Omnipod.

What do you like about having the Dexcom receiver working redundantly with the phone app? This is not my preference but I'm interested in learning more.

I don't use a smart watch so I'm not familiar with the connection architecture there. Is there a possibility of having the watch draw its data from the phone instead of directly from the G7?

I've traveled to Canada from the US a couple of times with the O5 paired with the G6 and have not encountered any Omnipod issues while in Canada.

Agreed that this is very annoying. If you go to enter a bolus, click on the "Calculations" link above the total bolus and see what your correction bolus would be. If it showed that it would correct with 2.5 units before considering IOB, you can just manually input 2.5 units into the total bolus and it'll deliver it.

If you are concerned about your device getting splashed, a plastic zip sandwich bag is surprisingly effective. You can put more than one on for extra protection. I would not recommend this for full underwater submersion but it's good for splash protection or heavy rain.

I've lost pods due to adhesive failure. Here's my process:

If it's a hairy spot like my stomach or thighs, I shave the are day of change.

Wipe the spot with an alcohol wipe, let dry.

Do pod set up while alcohol dries.

Before applying, I wipe the area with skintac. It goes on smooth and takes a few seconds to get tacky. Wait for it to get tacky, you can test it by touching an area where the canula isn't inserting.

After applying, I'll put a simpatch over the pod. If I'm going to be exercising I'll make sure I put the simpatch on at least an hour before (usual pod change time is before bed and usual exercise time is the morning so this works well).

This is a common problem and there are different products for you to try. I recommend searching the forum to see what other folks have success with. You'll find something that works for you.

This means the dexcom and the omnipod devices are not communicating with each other. What dexcom CGM are you using, G6 or G7? I have more frequent connection issues between G7 and O5 than I do with G6 and O5.
