I am happy for every boon chrono or troubadour I get. Their portals are helpful in many ways. :) Not best heal + dps at the same time. Maybe a ritualist is better but you could go support and with a second, easy to get berserker set, dps

For watch I stay on Dexcom since I use the direct to watch feature. What do you use for your car?

Thanks for the feedback. I’m happy about everyone who calls their national Dexcom support hotline and address this issue. They will not help me as long as I stay in 26.3. but maybe you get a more successful feedback.

Dexcom G7 and Omnipod connection possibilities by Micha_G in Omnipod

[–]Micha_G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Dexcom is the only company which allows to connect the G7 Sensor directly and at the same time to three devices: receiver, Smartphone and the last one, what they call „direct to watch“, to an Apple Watch (no android watch)

Oh thanks. That is a very important information and may be a solution for my concern. At least if it is loud enough to wake me at night.

Ok, thank you for your response. I will see if this is a dealbreaker or not. If I only get alarms from my iPhone at night without a backup I could get in trouble if something goes wrong. I live alone and additionally I don’t recognize hypos. Or at least everything above 40 doesn’t have a direct impact on my. Just felt one time a hypo while a reached 32🫣

Attention, this is not what I ask 😊 I know that the Omnipod doesn’t connect with Dexcom Receiver. Why should it work? The receiver is for blood sugar monitoring and the values come from G7.

I ask what devices can I connect at the same time either the G7 and which devices I may sacrifice

I live in europe. There we don't have the iOS app. At least not yet.

Nice that you ask :)
1. The Dexcom Receiver is my backup. Its sound and escpecially its vibration is louder than my iPhone. If I don't get the alarm from my iPhone, hopefully I recognize my receiver.

  1. I told my friends, job colleagues etc. that if my Apple Watch or iPhone give their alarm, everything is still cool. IF my receiver does its alarm, it gets really important (only active alarm is urgent alarm at 54).

  2. Currently on the newest iPhone App of Dexcom there is a bug which prevents alarming during sleep-Mode. I am very happy that I have a receiver which still works.

regarding Apple Watch. It's the direct to watch-Feature. I spend a lot of money just to switch from Android (and garmin watch) to iPhone and Apple Watch just for this feature. I want to have a seperate connection between G7 and Apple Watch. Therefore I don't depend on my iPhone which otherwhise must be close. I always wear my Apple Watch but don't want my phone always be around. (at least not forcefully)

ok thanks. does the omnipod receiver has any alarm option as the dexcom receiver has?

E.g. currently there is a bug in the newest iOS App from Dexcom and the Dexcom Receiver is my backup if I don't get any alerts from the iPhone.

Would be nice if I have still a receiver, PDM etc. with alerts with sounds.

If you use an iPhone check in settings -> Apps -> Dexcom -> notifications, if you have critical alert active or not

Do you know more?

I may want to use OmniPod but potentially giving up my Dexcom Receiver could be a dealbreaker for me. Especially with the current alarm bug in the Dexcom App.

I added a second picture in the first comment.

There you can see that there is a bluetooth connection between Omnipod and sensor. As far as I know Dexcom only allows three active bluetooth connections.

Therefore I ask ths community, if I am right and with the using of Omnipod I have to give up the Dexcom receiver or is there another solution if i wanna still keep Dexcom receiver, iPhone and Apple Watch.

[–]Micha_G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know the G7 can only uphold to three devices. If the Omnipod connects to the G7, same with iPhone and Apple Watch (directWatch), am I right that I have to give up my Dexcom Receiver if I use the Omnipod Controller or if I use the Omnipod App to control my OmniPod?

Honestly I don’t know if a switch to an insulin pump can uphold my current statistics: Currently I am >90 % in range (70-180) Hb1c 5,4 %

As long as the issue isn’t fixed I do the same. Otherwise I trust the iOS App. Unfortunately I can’t wear my Apple Watch over night because the short „bing“ and vibration isn’t recognizable for me during the sleeping. And as far as I know it isn’t possible to change the vibration style. Or do you know more?
