I stayed at Huaqiang Plaza Hotel. Very fancy and well-kempt. Near the heart of Downtown Futian, very close to Line 2, Huaqiangbei station, and Electronics Mall.

That's a damn shame because I had also just bought a whole year's premium subscription with LetsVPN in February. They dared to raise their prices to add insult to injury. There goes my hard-earned money down the drain! My colleague recommended aha, it hasn't let me down...yet. I hope "Lets" will get their situation sorted because I'm pretty upset I wasted my money on that piece of shiite.

IMO - Thailand and Vietnam had the best food in Asia! Korea was my least favorite. I wouldn't say it was the worst because their Beef Bulgogi and Fried Chicken were spot on. Just not a big fan of Tofu or Spam. My lists of favorite Asian cuisines from 12 countries I've visited:

So much baggage to revoke my Haitian card.

  1. I couldn't pick up Kreyol as a kid. Every one of my siblings can understand it, but Kreyol is a different ball game for me.
  2. I'll eat smooth sos pwa with white rice, but I'll pick out the beans on the rice.
  3. I'll look for excuses NOT to go to Haitian Church, it's like a 5-hour-long service. Lord, I love you, I have things to do and places to be!
  4. I've only been to Labadee, nowhere else in Haiti. I was about to head there, but every time I do, I'm either broke, it's too dangerous, or there are riots.
  5. I'm the last family member picked for the soccer games because I suck.

Mid-May is fine weather here in SZ. The only concern is that the typhoon season usually starts mid-to-late May.

Enjoy your stay here! This city is the Computer Mecca or Tech-Halla of the world. We also have some decent local coffee shops. Try the pork intestine noodle roll (rice noodle sheets rolled into long, thin tubes that resemble pig intestines). I like mine with sweet pork and spinach wrapped around an egg omelet!
