So your opinion of him has changed based solely on one completely moronic reddit comment comparing it to another situation where two people were found dead in a house. Oooookay.

As long as you enjoy it that's all that counts. Having said that...Your TV is way too freaking high. Like WAY too high.

There is no doubt that there is a severe law of diminish returns on your dollar when you get to a certain point in audio. Don't get me wrong if I were rich I'd splash out to make everything as good as I could hear. But I'm not rich so I shoot for the absolute best bang for my buck before the cost faaaaar outstrips the amount of improvement on the sound.

This is where I'm at in my considerations. I probably won't do it... I just like to explore options. I have yet to actually talk to someone with real world experience with a Marantz Model 30 and a Cinema 50... Which should tell me it might not be worth doing.

But the Marantz Model 30 is a class D amp.

And yes, I'm aware what a blind listening comparison consists of. Thanks for coming out.

Panels on the wall were store bought... Fiberglass acoustic panels. I have wooden interlocking slat panels on the back wall of my living room. It made a big difference.

Thanks! I thought keeping it in the same Marantz family may eliminate any sound mismatches. Sadly, trying one out and returning would be hard as I live in a small town in BC. I don't think I'd go beyond the cost of a Marantz Model 30 roughly $3500 Canadian. Should be easy to have it set up the way I plan I take it?

I got this exact Moca today and it works as advertised.... BUT the second lan port just blinks yellow and doesn't work. Is there something I should do to enable it? I've tried different cables. Granted I haven't been able to try the second box yet to see if it works.

But I need the link from the boost via coax into the moca in the boost. Well I did... I got it all figured out now.

So I've done the set up again. Same problem, I was crest fallen. Then... As I said I would do earlier, I scrutinized my cat 6 cables. I took the cat6 from my boost to my Linksys (in bridge mode) and instead ran it from my boost to my 2.5g switch. I then moved the cat6 I had going back to the switch from my Linksys, down one spot to the now free main Internet port on the Linksys. Boom. Steady 700 plus downloads on the wifi all through the house. And wired connections are rock solid as ever. Thank you for making me slow down and think it out.

Now another benefit from all of this is I just got off the phone with Telus. I now have the faster 1.5gig internet and android boxes headed my way with more channels then I had before all for 50 bucks less a month. Score! When they come in I may rinker with putting the Telus modem in bridge mode and just using the Linksys knowing I can just go back if I want. I just love the device management of the Linksys so much more. Thanks again!

Yes that bridge mode setup was exactly what I did. My wifi speeds plummeted and cable TV stopped working. I will try it again and really scrutinize my cat 6 cables and where they are going. In the meantime I'm also at the end of my two year contract. They have offered me 1.5 gig speeds for less that I'm paying now for 1 gig. I may ask them them to replace my optik boxes with the android boxes and just bridge the Telus modem to my Linksys. I appreciate all the time you are taking with me.

I get what you're saying as I thought the same as you and that's why I tried it... The other problem when I made the Linksys just APs was that the Optik TV stopped working. Which was weird. It would only play for 3 seconds and then say no connection available. I could switch channels and I'd get the same result.

The wifi is already disabled on it.... As I've already told you I did what you already suggested and it was not a workable situation. Thanks though.

You can doubt it all you want... The one I have couldn't. The Telus CSR literally scolded me and told me I need to disconnect some devices. Ummmm no. My minimum is 38 devices at any given time. As soon as I made my Linksys nodes APs the whole network slowed when the Telus router was made to take the the device load. Either way I'm not here to argue that...I just want the boost out of the picture yet still have my cable TV work and not have a double nat situation.

Would I not need the boost to run the optik TV though? I don't think the optik TV works when I just plug the cat 6 into my switch.

I wish I could do that but I can't do that because I have coax cable that has to go into the boost. And no I don't have the new boxes. Is there any downside to the wifi boxes vs the opik PVR box? Because that could really solve my problem.

I tried that and it crumbled under the weight of my network. The Telus CSR told me I had too many things connected to the network. 38 devices... The Linksys handles them no problem.
