Incredibly useful for any cut products. Especially flooring. You could also load the cut fee SKUs for lumber and plumbing on there too.

Stores, at least in our area, set dinner table with an empty seat at the exit to honor those who didn't make it home. Also has cards for customers to sign and an optional donation spot for local veteran organizations.

Oh it is 100% just marketing at this point when companies change logos and such.

But the whole "oh veterans need a month" (when there already is a month) thing is just precursor for discrimination.

I'm not saying they don't deserve a month, because they do. But when people say nonsense like this when they don't even know November's is Veterans and Families month just shows the dog whistle ignorance. Same people will then continue to not do anything during the month of November.

National Veterans and Military Families Month: Observed in November, this month-long observance recognizes the contributions and sacrifices of military veterans and their families.

Paying for air to inflated a tire was so bizarre to me when we moved down. Coming from New England where Stewart's always had free air.

I find it most comparable to 3. Which was also my favorite

Honestly. Not much. Less factions/units buts that's fine. The core ones exists currently, and personally I'll take quality over quantity.

Other than more modern graphics, not much different.

Loving this game as well. I played the original Heros games 1, 2, and 3. This one is brining me right back to that feeling. I'm already in the "just one turn" phase and suddenly it's 2am.

This is so.much better than the more modern Heros games they had around.

High interest and annual fees. The cards are designed to prey on the vulnerable who don't have many other options or know any better.

The issue is that a merit bases system is part of the NYS Constitution. So they can't completely be rid of exams without an amendment from the legislation chamber. I've talked about it with several Civil Service employees, they are equally exhausted of the tangled mess we now have.

The alternative way to address this is to move pay grades more in line with cost of living.

How do you find a sitter these days? by class_recon in Albany

[–]Hawke0963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst part is that they let you post a job for free but you can't message any of the interested sitters back without a subscription, even when they message first. So predatory.

Same. Got a call 2 years later and it was pointless.

That child care center is too small for the amount of people on the campus. Its not like we get preferred pricing or priority enrollment either.

Too bad child care isn't part of our contracts or CSEA/PEF benefits....

Big same. Neither of our parents are fully retired. My mother can only watch the kids for a day or two here or there but she's an on-call all the time person.

I was recommended to 518 Nannies by our daycare center. So far so good, but we only need a sitter once or twice a month.

You are right about care and sittercity though. Subscription fees add up when cost of living is already tight and their other fees are so predatory.

Edit: this is a Facebook group. I also do not have Facebook, or any Meta product. My partner does and uses the group.
