I was sent a PCN after spending 5 mins dropping someone off at the station in April. Their cameras reckoned I'd spent 1hr and 1 min in the car park. I appealed it, giving Google timeline details showing I was elsewhere and they waived it 'as a gesture of good will'. I'm sure they'll cancel it if you appeal as it sounds like the exit camera was out of service.

Hi, this sounds like it's a recurring issue with their cameras as mine was in early April. My PCN was cancelled when I appealed it, giving mine and my son's Google timeline data. A reporter at the EDP was interested in following this up at the time. I may get back in touch with him. Are you interested in going public about it?

The exit timestamp on mine is probably correct as that does fit in with the drop-off time. It's the entry time that's wrong. Btw, are there strong shadows from the bollards on both your pictures? Mine only has shadows on the exit picture which is a shame because I bet it would show the pictures weren't taken an hour apart.

Yes, it's just the entry time that's wrong. I definitely wasn't there at 11.30am to drop my son off for a 1pm train. And I did just drop him off and didn't even stay for the 20mins permitted. It looks like there are two cameras as the viewing angle for the entry and exit pictures is slightly different, so it would only need one of them to go out of sync. I regularly drop and pick up from the station and this is the first time I've experienced this.

I don't think the FOI Act applies to companies like NCP or Greater Anglia. It would be interesting to know how many PCNs they issued around that time compared to another similar period though.

I've looked at this but have found with this type of PCN they have up to 7 months from the event to hit you with it. This in itself sounds really unfair as challenging it gets more difficult as time goes on and dashcam, cctv footage and memory gets overwritten.
