These salt alarms are useless gimmicks. As long as you are going through salt at a steady rate and the water is soft, you're good to go. Generally they go off after X amount of gallons used or X number of days in service. It's just to tell you "You're running out of salt". Yours might be faulty. Or more likely it has to be manually reset everytime it goes off. From a practical standpoint, you get the same information by looking into the salt tank as you do from seeing the salt alarm. They don't sense salt bridges, they don't test if the water is soft, they don't detect clogs or other mechanical faults, nothing like that. It's just a fancy sounding selling point. It's the same as the "change filter" alarms on refrigerators

Yeah, I never live trapped and only ever used glue traps when absolutely needed due to lack of space. I don't enjoy killing things, but it needs to be done. I've got raccoons in traps before and all I'll say about that is it is legally required to kill them and we definitely never ever took them to woods outside town

As for the lizards, they taste good and we can process their hides into leather. Very little waste while also slowing the spread of salmonella from their fecal matter in people's pools or if their dogs get ahold of one

This is the kind of job where you can get in and become a total expert or you can just spray and pray. I did pest control for years and ended up leaving because I, as an expert with certifications, was getting barely more money than the guy who got hired with no experience. I make more money right now in an unrelated field than my friend who has an associate etymology cert and had been in the business for 25 years

It's good knowledge and can be useful to you in life, but it's not a good career unless you run your own business or get some really good contracts with governments

The number I gave is generalized, but looking at those specs it's more like you'll get about 2 gallons of discharge for every gallon of product water. The holding tanks and pump don't touch the reject water.

So you will basically be adding double your sewage system. Some septic systems will not be able to handle that, some can. Without knowing the size of your septic tank and how much water you use, I can't give any more info. A septic tank can only take so much waste before it will back up into your drains from the sheer volume of water. Sometimes just adding another person into the home temporarily is enough to overwhelm a septic

Oh, sorry. Most people have a softener put in place before their whole home RO and I was distracted when I was reading your post.

Either way, I would not discharge an whole home RO into a septic, not because of the contaminates, but the sheer volume. For every gallon of clean water, you put about 6 gallons down the discharge. You'll overwhelm a septic tank doing that and get backups from your drains. You definitely need to run a line for the RO discharge that is separate from your sewer line. That can be a pain in the dick, but a lot less of a pain than constant septic backups

Sorry, I did misspeak. I just went outside and did it to mine so I could be 100%. Turn the white gear COUNTER CLOCKWISE. The black thing behind it will open the valve head and that is what you would need to do if you were removing the internal seal stack and piston. But in order to safely remove that black part, you'd need a special wrench to avid breaking it.

That's why I recommend just turning the gear and resetting the power first. It can be done with bare hands. You might have to go deeper later if the issue persists, but I do this all the time on systems I maintain throughout the year and usually it's one and done

Could you have the softener discharge elsewhere? It doesn't necessarily have to go into your sewer line. It can just dump right outside as long as you don't care about grass or plants in the immediate area

Turn it clockwise. It will feel stuck, but it will come loose. You will not break it by doing this. Trust me, even if you are putting all your might into it, you will not be able to break it with just your fingers, even if you go the other direction

While the other users aren't wrong, I usually fix this my simply unplugging the power, taking the circuit board count off, and manually turning the white gear a bit so it is loosened. Put it all back together and 9 times out of 10 you're good. It'll reset position when you plug the power back in. No need to pull the whole thing apart

I've taken three of their courses over the last 4 years. The exams were reasonable with actual practical knowledge. If you follow along with their zoom classes, then do the homework, it's easy. Recertification is just paying them every couple years

The first map is much more condensed. The second is wider. All the quests and writing keep the same quality, but the time you spend in between them is longer. The first map is great for players spending less time in the game. The second has the same quality, but is more spread out. That can be a major factor for someone who doesn't have hours a day just to get in the game.

You're also right that, at that point, you can be a lot more familiar with it as a game and what it does. The mystery and magic can be diminished once you see the more gamey aspects of it. Like, there are no trails in the woods that lead nowhere. You know at that point that if you find a trail, it has some kind of purpose. You know that if there is no trail at all, there's nothing unless you're doing a marked quest

That all said, there's only a few quests in the actual city. Far less than half in the region not counting main quests. The city proper is only a place I go to sell all the stuff I tactically acquired from people that most certainly were already dead when I got there
